Okay i'm probaby the only one who has this issue..maybe not. But is it odd of me to have an issue with how Bethesda does their conversations. All this right in your face and all the standing still while talking bit?
Let me show you an example of what i mean.

You can just go to about 9 seconds, should be around there.
Am i the only one that finds that a little weird that other then moving lips they appear a little...stiff, every single conversation with an NPC that you actually choose dialogues is like this. No hands movement, no body movements (other then the mouth), i know this is a design feature but as i'm one for story elements it's a bit annoying to me. anyone else feel this way?

Doesn't bother me. Story is more important so I don't care if they're dancing mid convo or not.
Actually this game(Skyrim) is much better than they've done in the past. At least now when you talk to a NPC while they are smithing or doing anything they continue their activity while talking to you. In Oblivion, Morrowind and Fallout 3(The game shown in your vid) they would stop everything and it appeared very 'robotic'. This still isn't perfect but it is a vast improvement on what came before. (Some NPC's do use their hands and soforth during convos like the Greybeards and Esbern(sp?) just not all of them.)
Edit: Although I will add that I've noticed some drawbacks to the new way they do convos in Skyrim like when you initiate a convo and the NPC walks out of view or they get killed by something while they are talking to you (Had a NPC run up and initiate a convo just as a Bear ran up and one-shotted them... their dead body still had a nice little chat with me... LOL). Still, it is a vast improvement over what the previous games are like.

It is kind of funny looking, though I'm glad it was somewhat improved in Skyrim by removing the world pause during conversations and adding a little more animation to NPC's.
