Im sorry but this is WOW in space.. I expected sooo much more.. ohh well on the bright side there is so many other good games that came out and coming out.

Please enlighten use on how this is WOW in space.

Currently I have a level 19 and not once has anything I have done or seen even reminds me of WOW.

The combat system is the same exact way it is in wow.. the warrior model has the same abilities, uses rage ect.. Pretty sure thats what he means. I am guessing you didn't play much of WoW if you haven't seen that yet or possibly you are playing a class you don't normally play.

I wish it was wow in space honestly, but for me lacks the attention to details.

Like why does the trooper us a pistol in convos? A trooper can't use one in combat, nor does it show one when walking about but every convo the trooper has one. On top of that the trooper, soldier type companion doesn't, he holds his rifle correctly in convos...

Every build I have played, the screw something up that working fine(if not perfectly) last build.

Also while WoW has great unique trees and one of the best, if not the best UI in an MMO. The swtor trees are muddled at best and has a horrible UI that you can't change.

Then while the stories can be interesting they are full of "bioware"'s black and white choices, even though there are other options that should be viable choices.

Overall to me SWTOR just seems like the Devs were lazy(or had really bad programmers).

I will not play a game with a cash shop ever again. A dev job should be to make the game better not make me pay so it sucks less.

Really? I'm neither and I'm really put down by graphics. Those earthy tones and flat planes, especially within buildings, are simply killing me.

To be fair, this artistic direction is not Bioware's fault but Lucas's. I'm sorry but 70's californian new age retro-futurism is just so uncool to me. That man needs some serious reality therapy if you ask me.

If they've decided to go retro space opera with this thing at least they should have gone for the Forbidden Planet look. I'd buy that for a dollar!

Other then all thats mentioned, call me old school but cut scenes on every quest is so blah and shouldent be in mmo's (maybe they go away after a specific level). Only reason I hated dragon age and mass effect games was because of them and the silly choice's you can choose.

A lot has been mentioned of all the failures in the game, but I really think they took the wrong approach. They forgot that a lot of star wars fans are adults and built a game made for kids. Im not saying it has to have gore or nakedness, but have an adult UI, graphics, and I havent seen it yet but I hear crafting is very dumbed down.

Even with the mouse sensitivity at the minimum, it's still bad. There were times when I meant to turn around and did a full 360 turn.

on lvl 8 and missing mmo feeling...plays 99% like a solo game, except the chatwindow. but well, thats going to change later.

i really do like the conversation "cinematics". back in game ;-)

There are graphics options disabled for the beta. There was always 200 other people in the zone I was in, always saw someone else. And easily found a partner for the 2man quest I was doing.

Just levelled 4 different classes up to 10th. The game looks and feels to me like Star Trek Online. Even down to running through corridors, shooting mobs in groups of 3 or 4, hitting one key to fire, and then clicking on glowing boxes. The character models are very similar, there are even lots of glowing consoles. I was running around wondering why I wasn't feeling it and then I realised the planets just felt dead, no weather, no animals (apart from a few massive creatures standing about) no grasses or trees blowing in the breeze. I've been playing Skyrim for the last couple of weeks, rabbits run across your path, the grass moves, it rains and snows, it's wonderful. It's the same in LOTRO. Why doesn't this game have any of that?

Character creation felt very limited, the hairstyles and tatoos are the same as EQII and AoC. They felt strange and out of place in a Star Wars mmo. There was more variety in Galaxies. The glowing blue interface reminded me a lot of Galaxies as well. It looks about 5 years old, which is ok as long as the gameplay is good, but i'm not so sure about that yet.

Another thing that irritated me was the dark side/light side system. I decided as a smuggler to help some republican soldiers with medicines instead of refugees, so I got 50 dark side points. WTF!? It seems you don't pick up dark side for doing evil, you pick them up for not doing what the game wants you to do.

I've got the game on pre-order. I'll play it because all my friends are and i'll give it a go as far as I can, hopefully later areas and group quests will be good, but this first impression today was very disappointing for a game that has taken so long and been so hyped. Ah well, there's always GW2 coming...

    Deluded.

BW themselves have said they're copying WoW and adding in story elements.

    Completely deluded.

Every quest I have gotten in the game has consisted of a dialogue scene which ultimately results in my character having to kill 10 rats, kill a big rat, collect 10 rat tails, or right click on 10 objects. Sound familiar?

The game is enjoyable enough, but I'm getting kind of sick of it. Many of the quests aren't very interesting and I find myself just skimming the subtitles to get to the ultimate "kill 10 rats" objective. It's unfortunately already starting to feel like a grind and I'm only level 8.

I think I may just be burned on this quest gameplay after WoW, Rift, Aion...and many others.

Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob?

IKR? I tried to tell them, really I did. They didn't want to hear it.

Even if it comes with a pretty storyline, it's still the same game you're playing as the rest. Kill x of x, then come back and hear me talk about stuff! It's cute at first, gets old fast. I'd have more fun reading a book, at least then I can read at my pace, which is considerably faster than the voice actors reading their lines to me.

If you like this gameplay that's great, but call it what it is.
