In most MMO's you are not forced to lvl up at a special area. Sure you might need to do the first lvl's, but then its up to you where you wanna go. Desert, snow, jungle whatever you like. Freedom.
Is this true or have I missed something?
Think you've missed something... Most MMO's actually FORCE you to level up at the same starter area's, and SWTOR is no exception to that...
...Unless you would like to share the name of the MMO you're referring to where you have the 'freedom' to change starter area..?
You can still do the same story but you have different dialogue choices to make it more intresting.

Considering most recent p2p mmos lately have only been giving us 2 starting areas, one for each side, I think SWTOR is a huge improvement. 4 starting planets. Each with 2 classes that have separate stories. Each of those then split into advanced classes. And each character can be played either light or dark side which had more impact on the story than I expected. It seems to have a high replayability to me.
You want to play the same story over and over and over, go play Aion or Rift. Pretty good games but each has basically 2 stories and that is it.
Hmm ok. So after lvl 20 I can travle to other planets and lvl up? Or will the game tell me to go to other planets or else the story will not go on?
For example in other games I can take a ship or run over to other area and pick quests even if I'm not that race.
Tho thats quests and not story missions... hmm.
Lvl15 you get ship and then you can go anywhere. If you want to continue your main storyline you must do what it says ofcourse, if the next step in story is "Find terrorist in Hoth and stop him" you cant go to Tatooine and beat up a beggar in order to complete that mission.
You can do basic quests anywhere (where the quest objectives are ofcourse), but you need to be at proper level I think. It's still a themepark mmorpg with levels and all that stuff.

We get to beat up beggers? This game just keeps getting better and better.
If I understand it right... every class have it's own story and that you be "good" or "evil" when you talk to NPC's. What you pick will "change" the world around your character etc.
Let say I make a BH, play it up to lvl 20 and then I don't like that one. So I make a new BH. Now I must do same story again. Talk to same NPC, same planet, same armour, same weapons.
By doing that my story don't feel special anymore. And I'm forced to lvl up on a special planet and do same quest over and over again. The game control you.
How long will this work until people are sick of this?

The real issue here is not so much having to level another BH or whatever class again, though that is certainly a concern if you want to play the other AC of the same class. The real issue imho is having to redo all of the same side quests you've done on every character you level. During the beta weekends I played every class to at least lvl 12 just to get a flavor for each of them, and I can tell you that for my part I started getting really tired of the cut scenes for the side quests I'd already done 2 or 3 times before. It gets old really fast. This is in part due to a lack of levelling content throughout much of the early game and the fact you have to do the same quests over and again because you have little to no choice. I've heard this changes as you go further because there are more options to levelling as you get higher up. (pvp, space, etc) I'm not sure I totally buy that but we'll see. I also think this issue is going to force Bioware to do 1 of 2 things.
1. Allow people to respec to another AC so they don't have to endure the tedium of doing the quests all over.
2. Force Bioware to add a lot more levelling content to avoid being required to do the exact same quests all over again.

Well hehe, the propability is high according to my experiences in the beta where I had the chance to threaten minorities with a gun to get something done and also I had the pleasure to "shoot first" a couple of times, I think beating up a beggar drops somewhere in the middle?

I'm sure it is less mind numbing than it was to level up eight characters to max level in WoW:WotLK or Cataclysm for that matter.
