Howdy, Stranger!

It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

Now they start handing out "prizes"...

Reminds me of the kid no one liked in school. The only reason to go to his birthday party was for the great goodie bags. You know things have gotten bad when SOE gives stuff away (they NEVER do that..)

Pathetic.

I have no interest in the "prizes" they are offering to veteran players. I will not return to the game until after they have implemented the combat re-vamp. And only after they have fixed the bugs from that will I consider playing the game again.

But I do have to say that all the recent posts of the upcoming fixes and updates has me hoping for the best.

What prizes ? I left the game in frustration for the 3rd time 2 months ago when they announced that stupid pub 11. Gving players stupid crap we didnt ask for like storage on shelves was bad enough but then we get new posters for our already full houses..woopie. Meanwhile the gungan sacred place and many other things remained broke.

Im also waiting on this combat revamp. Are they still in alpha phase for it sheesh ? JTL launched what 2-3 months ago and no hint even that CR is even close. I doubt it will be coming until the holidays if ever.

All the selective memory of you nay-sayers is fascinating.

YES, there are some veteran rewards and I like them.

But you choose to ignore a few thousands lines of info and several screenshots of all the new stuff already implemented, of the many bugs fixed recently, of the increased storage space in inventory and structures going live within the week, of travel being now almost instaneous even on shuttles and starships for non JTL users etc. etc. etc.

Add to that  the soon to be implemented changes in GCW.

And a combat revamp - which may take a few months more - but where we all in game think it will come sooner than later.

So .... image keep on praying that the end is near and the sky is falling ... and the rest of us will

    Erillion,

Sometimes you just gotta say "Why bother?". SOE could come out and say they are adding everything everyone ever wanted and they're doing it tomorrow, and people would still complain about it.

Personally I'm excited about the whole thing (non-decay for any item, self powered harvesters WOOHOO).

I dont ignore all the new info or screenshots. But I refuse to join the game and still wait for a re-vamp that was promised more than a year ago. I know exactly what has been fixed and what has been introduced to the game, my gf still continutes to play and I keep a eye out on the new info.

I am simply waiting for a game that I can play that will not frustate the hell out of me, because it has still has the same bugs that I despised when I last played. I have never asked for a perfect game, but I do ask for that game that fixes its mistakes.

So would you agree with the more optimistic people here that SOE DOES fix mistakes, but there is STILL a lot to be done ?

I think if you check our posts you will see that we have suggested to ANYONE who is heavy into PvP and combat that they should wait until the Combat Revamp and THEN rejoin, because the game will be worth playing by then. That at this point  beside the Combat Revamp many more good things have been added  (and even now already are on live servers) and many old annoying bugs have been fixed ?!

And that the bug fixing has been speeding up SIGNIFICANTLY recently .. with no new serious bugs being introduced instead (I can  live with the occasional rubberbanding for 3 days until they fixed it).

    Have fun

I have to agree that the current developers of SWG are trying damn hard to get this game stronger than ever before.

That's a lot more I can say about other mmorpgs that don't try as hard.

I've seen the changes SWG will be making very very very soon and I think it's very nice.

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

Items dont decay now ? I havent been following the swg forums lately so I missed that. Also I dont need power anymore for my harvesters ? Actually for me that would have been a bad thing cause I made my credits selling power.

Also someone mentioned more inventory space..for what bank vault, houses, on person ?

One of the veteran rewards is an item that will stop something from ever decaying.

You will get 80 slots instead of just 50 on your person and the hosue storage has gone up about 100 items per house. Guild Halls and Large houses only cost 5 slots.

    What a stupid troll thread>:(

These "prizes" are rewards for dedicated players actually kept playing the game when times where the worst.

If you even realised how many who are actually happy for getting special reward items for dedication and commitment to SWG, then you would not whine about it here.

This has nothing to do with popularity. It is not a PR stunt.

It is simply rewards for long playing players. Harmless little awards. This has been something the community have been asking for, for a long time.

SWG is so much more than combat. Over half the classes in SWG is not combat related. Please keep that in mind, that also they need to be satisfied.

This is not as simple as a standard hack'n slash like wow or DAOC where repetitive combat is the only main feature in the game.
