Lets face it - sooner or later it will happen to all of us. Some of us will even experience it multiple times.
Boredom.
Its not that we hate the games we play but sooner or later we get sick of playing our current game(s) and go looking for something new. MY current problem, however, is that for the life of me I cant decide what to play.
Over the last 10 years chances are if its out there ive played it and for the life of me I cant decide on a game to play.
So I thought i would make things easier on myself and turn the decision of where to go from here over to the gaming community. Below I will breifly comment on the games I have recently played and my thoughts on them.
RIFT - This one is the most confusing - LOVED it for teh first 20 levels or so and then...... It just lost its magic. Frustratingly I cant be any more specific than that. It wasnt the graphics or quests or the ingame community - It just got boring almost overnight.
WoW - Cartoon graphics never did it for me, and the first time I really gave it a go it all just seemed a bit dated. That and Chuck Norris every 30 seconds.
EVE - Never got into this game - and the need to have an intimate understanding of Excel turned me even further away.
LOTRO - Although this game has steadily improved since launch the sheer grind required to get anywhere was daunting. Without a cohesive guild to help quest this just took too long to level to cap where all the other players where - cause lets face it after going F2P there was a vast deficit of players L30 - 60 where new players lost intrest and Veterans could not be bothered levelling new characters all over again.
Allods - WoW clone with all of the same problems and the Item Shop enforcing a Pay to Win scenario while loudly claiming that this was not the case.
Aion - Grind central - enough said
AoC - Broken buggy mess that is probably past fixing as with a F2P model there is no reason to invest in what could have been the stand out game we all wish it was.
Warhammer - Played this in Beta and found it enjoyable - but afer launch the lack of content was a huge problem.
So I put this to you - bearing in mind that the comments above relate to my own personal experiences with these games - what game suggestions can you make for me - and most importantly - why?

Move on and do something else.
Available evidence tends to indicate that the genre is played out for you. Nice long break may (or may not) "fix it", at least for a while.
And stay off of message boards. The negativity is pure poison.
Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.
