well i know that wont happen,but atleast i wanna get some clue when is beta,how far did they come with the game,i really hope that thread gw2 or 10,000 wont reach 7k before beta starts!

Based upon some of their answers at the expo's 1-2 months ago, I'd be very surprised if GW2 launches before mid-2012.

Unfortunately, I'd have to agree with this
I would LOVE to see it out sooner, but it's not going to be within the next 6 months.
Frankly speaking, I don't want them to release game until they show some concrete information (read: game footage) of WvWvW. If it's bad and people criticize it - ArenaNet will still have time to fix things without impact on game's reputation.
For some people, me included, PvP is what MMO is about.
To be frank, I am generally sick to the back teeth of PvP in MMOs with their general focus of level and gear over skill and player culture of ganking the cheapest and safest kill possible, all they talking smack like they are some kind of leet. I'm just over all that.
But... saying that. With GW2 I agree.
WvWvW solves pretty much all that and right now I am really into the idea of it.
Chuck Norris already has GW2.

We're inviting all mmo gamer who are interested in guild war 2 to join our close beta. You do not need a beta key to participate and we will not limit you in anyway. It's our way of gifting a christmas present to mmo gamer around the world and also stress test our server ^^
just beta this year and ill be happy,im dying to try this game,just to make a character and roam around in town for a little and ill be happy on christmas

man, hope the 25th eve is a server maintainance , coz if not , he'll be playing 24/7 and wont be flying round to kids' houses .
2013 but likely investors will be very very displeased with them come next February when they turn around and say it's not ready. They continue to lie to the investors and people like Eric Flannum are coming off thinking they are GOD. The arrogance level is simply too high. Too big to fail? I hope they do.

Actually that's the reason why beta starts after Christmas. Anet doesn't want to be responsible for millions of crying children on the 25th ...
For all we know the game might be in beta already, but under a strict NDA. They never said open beta by the end of the year, just beta.
The final profession reveal is also due to come soon, can't wait for that.
