I would personally go with waffles. THey are quite delicious. It's what i voted for anyway

But regardless, I think you and many people saying the game is mediocre will end up buying it for the simple fact that mmoers tend to try every mmo that comes around.

Probably a combination of boredom and hype...idk

I'm probably gona buy the game even though I thought it was kinda bad.  But hey, wows pvp was fun for a while, I'm sure I'll get a couple hours of pvp fun out of this one as well after I'm done spamming my space bar. Better than what I'm currently playing (nothing).

Are you waffling on whether you should buy it?  Har-de-har-har

I voted waffles cause it was a whimsical choice and gave me a giggle, and because I can't say I have that much of an active interest in if you get it or not.

    Waffles are far superior.

You seem like you like PvP and rank games with good PvP in them highly for the most part.

That being the case, THIS is the area you will be PvPing in:

SWTOR - Ilum - End Game PvP Planet

Note how large it is and think to yourself "Would ton of people in this zone fighting each other be for me?" When the person opens his map and you see where he starts and how long to get to where he ends up, that's pretty epic.

Also note that this is beta footage, so you will not see lots of guilds running around in this zone right now, so figure a few months down the line or so when people start to hit level and populate this zone, how many possibilities there will be for action.

If size matters, you will not find a game with this large of an area recently released or probably any time soon.

I voted Waffles because it has zero bugs, has been tested for 100s of years. The only thing wrong with Waffles is that there isn't enough of them. The Xpac, whipped cream, is fairly cheap... though the fruit add-on could get a little spendy.  It is a pay as you go model, so you only pay for the content you use, and you're not subsidizing those Waffle eaters who eat dozens of waffles in a week.

Also with Waffles, you can do with them what you want.  Waffles don't constrain you to rails. You can have syrup on your waffles, or honey. You can put two of them together and make a waffle sandwich, or maybe even construct a miniature waffle house to rival your friend's gingerbread house.

And with waffles, you can be any sort of profession you want...waffles don't care. Any sort of race is available to waffles too...

Waffles are both casual and hardcore friendly, and nobody seems to care in that regard.  Waffle aren't gear dependant...you can be wearing your PJs or a business suit.

And let me tell you about the simplistic beauty of the Waffle UI. It's a fork. If you want to customize your Waffle UI, you can add a knife.

    Waffles. Yep.

and then you realize, it isnt bg, and even if it was bg it there arent any cross realms, then you think with max cap of 3k players, and average below that, just how many players will be there, after first 2 weeks, it will be desolate wasteland, small skirmish pvp tocapture those points, which will probably give some pvp tokens, tho i had hoped it would be something like old wow av, untill he got close to those mechs and there were just worthless scenary

What is this? Why not try the beta and do early access?

anyone who gives 8 to guild wars should become a surfer instead of playing online games :]

my advice to you is.. dont buy, get a surf board and go to some remote exotic island to ride some waves.

Aion, AoC, AC, AO, DDO, Eve, Eq2, GW, MW3, L1&2, RF, RIFT, SWG, SWTOR, TR, UO, WOW, WAR

Something new, without elves......helyas! Go for it!

btw, you currently have a tie for yes or no, talk about irony.....

"It is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth -- and listen to the song of that syren, till she transforms us into beasts. ... Are we disposed to be of the number of those, who having eyes, see not, and having ears, hear not?" --Patrick Henry

if you like star wars, it's a definite yes, but if not it's really 50/50.  There's alot that I liked about the game in my levels 1-34 (i had all 3 beta weekends yay), but there was alot that I didn't like as well, nothing really that I actually hated though, except my stupid second companion I got on my twi'lek consular wouldn't let me be pure good.

Edit: I voted waffles, I want a wafflebot for christmas, they're so epicly awesome!

I'm a big Shadowbane and PvP fan. I hit yes! I find this game will be more like WAR then it will be like Rift/WoW. They all rdy have in game not just PvP zones with no reason to be there. They have contested PvP zones with Objectives. Not only that. They have a Free For All zone. Yes you can kill your own damn faction in this zone and fight over resources and kill the NPC vendors with no protection.

lol, i agree with the OP rating of games but i would not place rift and swtor in the same context. they may act the same but the experiance is completly diferent.

No, it's really not. Look past the voice-overs and lightsabers. It's the same loot treadmill style game with the exception that there is no dynamic content at all.

If Rift scored a 2 for the OP, SWTOR will score a 1.

All those MMO's and you skipped WoW? Fair play, even most haters have played it.

  • SpawnLODSpawnLOD Member Posts: 33

I said NO because of 2 reasons... If you cant decide, then your on the fence and you should only want to spend your money on something your convinced about.

2nd reason because I dont want you in que in front of me :P

lol dynamic. dynamic what? you mean the rifts that open up in the same spot over and over and dissapear if you fail. dynamic is such markating buzz word. nothing in rift is dynamic.

if AC Darktide is your #1 MMO.... you arent going to like SWTOR at all. way easier with little to no punishment and almost no "hardcore" elements. while that is great for people like me who like to have FUN.... doesnt sound like your cup of tea.

sadly for you, your MMO days are pretty much over as i dont see developers making a game like AC Darktide pretty much ever again.

SWTOR isnt a loot treadmill.... loot is way in the back seat if you actually play the game. story far and away is the entire point of the game. you are beaten over the head with it at times.
