Mortal Online - Big Pots - Unfair PVP - Non Competitive mmo.

First off I have been playing mortal online since closed beta so I know the game very well.

There are "Big Pots" that players used to be able to get extreamly easily, so they have multiple storages filled with stacks of 10,000 of these potions.

These potions now are unable to be found in game, and there is now a potion cooldown system in place. The problem is these old Big pots now don't apply to the potion cooldown timer, you can use a pre-dawn big pot and a medium pot at the same time.

So now there are players and guilds with an endless supply of these potions that make them heal faster than any other player and it compeltely inblanaces the game.

If my guild gets wiped by another guild I would like to know that it was becuase they were better than mine, not that they have more bugged big pots that should have been removed from the game for not applying to the potion cooldown timer.

Also, how can one without any big pots duel someone properly that has them? This is now a game where u cant have a fair 1v1.

Here is one from yesterday, the most recent post about this. There have been others.

Seems SV doesn't care about balancing the game.

This only one of multiple well-known exploits that's been going on for ages. MO is a full loot, open PvP game in which some people can use a number of unfair advantages for extended time periods, without the devs being able or willing to do anything about it. The same people also use numerous bugs allowing duping, carry weight explots, armor and weapon exploits, you name it... Gamma adjustment programs are standard add-ons which renders MO's dark nights (a really cool design idea btw) totally meaningless.

The few people still playing "honest" will always be at a serious disadvantage. What can you do when your opponent is clad in lightweight gear absorbing like cronite, uses tree swords hitting like tungsteel, is able to see in the dark, and on top of that has an unending supply of super-pots and billions of duped gold in his bank? You'll lose your life and your stuff all the time.

SV is just incompetent to deal with these game-breaking issues. An example: I used to be in a guild owning a keep. Due to a simple loading time issue, people could easily glitch into the walls by riding really fast at the keep area - the whole keep, including its palisades, just didn't load until the guy was within the walls.

This was reported multiple times, we even frapsed our own people doing it. GM response? "Sorry, we can't do anything about it." Result: our keep was constantly full of enemies, who simply had logged out within the palisades and then logged in again to steal, kill, destroy and open the gates for their buddies. Not very fun losing hours of in-game work to these kinds of exploits.

Sounds like terrible development.  Nothing I hate more in an mmo (or any competitive game) is an unfair advantage - whether I have it or my opponent.

But hey, maybe the devs are working on fixes...who knows.

Wiping them will just immensely piss off the people who bought them for a ton of money. Just make them share the cooldown and thirst with the other big pots imo.

It is also common knowledge that a lot of big pots were duped.

GM's had an event tonight, that no new players could truely compete in because of these big pots. How does a player without them compete in an event like that with players that have them? Players with big pots essentially have more hp than everyone else since these potions do not apply to thirst or cooldown.

Good job GM's on spending time on an event that was not fair to anyone without bugged potions, instead of taking the time to fix or remove them from the game.

is it the sword of tears thing which GM Theia was advertising so much about?
