On behalf of the Oceanic Daisy Chain, I'd like to inform you all that the unofficial Oceanic PvP server for SWTOR has been chosen to be The Swiftsure (US West).
As you may be aware, the Oceanic region has been excluded from the official launch of SWTOR. That has not stopped us from building a sizeable and well organised community. Purely from the guilds signed up for the Official Pre-launch Guild Program that we're aware of, Oceanic PvP numbers stand at:
Republic = 751
Sith = 1210
Total registered TOR GHQ Accounts = 1961
Obviously, these numbers are only going inscrease.
So consider this a call to arms to all Oceanic players/guilds. We ask that even if your guild has been allocated to another server for deployment, that you reconsider and join us on The Swiftsure, what is likely to be one of the best communities in the game.

From What I have been reading its about 3 (Empire): 1 (Republic) Players across the PvP servers, please post if anyone has a more balanced server population on a PvP Server.
As a future Jedi of the Republic I don't see anything wrong with being the underdogs, we will have shorter ques for instanced PvP, and it will force Republic players to be more organized to do well in world PvP.

On-topic: Anyone aware of strictly RP servers being available during the Early Access? I can't find any list that has a single one on it,
Grouping in Old school mmo's: meeting someone at the bar and chatting, getting to know them before jumping into bed. Current mmo's grouping: tinder. swipe, hookup, hope you don't get herpes, never see them again.
My guild was moved to "The Jekk'Jekk Thar"... whatever that is... ^^
If I remember right that was the name of the bar on Nar Shadar (sp?) from KOTOR2. It was an aliens only bar to I believe.

I generally like the idea of Bioware trying to group like minded guilds as good as they can. Still, it feels weird to be such sorted. Now we all here end up on different servers, heh. ^^
What Is the name of your guild because i think we might be in the same guild or allies. My guild got that same server and we are also GLBT
If you go to your guilds page on the official website it should tell you which one your guild has been assigned to, click on its name/link and it will take you to a list of guilds (+ their numbers) that have been assigned to it.
In my case, I was lucky enough to have had someone else add up the numbers.

Republic Guilds - 20
Imperial Guilds - 38
Republic Population - 1244
Imp Population - 2063
Not 100% accurate, I know there have been issues with not all of the guilds coming up on the shard lists, etc.
