There were around 19,000 pre orders in July. If you pre ordered in July, its a safe bet that you will be playing tomorrow.
I think it's safe to assume that you are absolutely right. I'm putting on my tinfoil hat and saying they will probably let in about 200k every 6 -8 hours tomorrow with a cap of 400k total on Tuesday. I would expect the same on Wednesday if everything goes well with the rest getting a 7 a.m. invite on Thursday morning. Again, I am just speculating and have no basis in fact for this information.
Oh come on . They arent sending emails yet. They have stated they wont send them till the day of early access. So they arent sending emails out till early access starts and then will send them in batchs as early access goes along
this is so stupid words can't comprehend. You shouldn't have to wait to find in when to immediately login and hope that all of your name ideas haven't been taken by other people who got to log in days before you.
its not stupid. If u didnt pre order in july or august u shouldnt get in before those that did. If u waited to november or december to order the game thats yoru fault
Bioware has stated from day 1 of pre orders the order of early access was determined by when u put in pre order code. i did mine day 1 . Even though they didnt have a release date.
those of us who pre ordered in july did so withough knowign when game woudl release.
If u chose to wait then u dont get in day 1 thats the way it is. Dotn like it tuff. u wanted in day 1 u should of pre ordered the game in july when pre orders started.

Ok... I'm sure you'll get one eventually. It's not like they have missed your account and mailed them to others.... or, have they?
Stephen Reid hinted that regular beta testers would get in first regardless of when they entered their pre-order code.... Guess I'll find out when I log in tomorrow morning at 4am... although I did pre-order the 1st day...

Well, some people could be in the situation I am in. I preordered in august but origin never sent me my code. I had forgotten about the code and come november I remembered about it. I had to call origin to get my code and once it was sent to me, I entered it. So should I be penalized because origin screwed up and didnt send me my code? I dont think so, but then again, I did forget about them sending me the code. Still, I dont care if I get in on the 7th day, but I damn well should be able to get in on the 5th day as more or less promised. I don't care what anyone says, that MAY they have in the line about getting in 5 days early is bogus and absolutely poor business practice. If they actually do that crap, it will be the first company in mmo history, that I can remember, that did such a thing and it will be completely wrong of them to do it.

That's not what he's talking about. He's more upset over the fact that we're pretty much not going to know when we can get until until we get in. I see his point. I mean, I guess BioWare just expects us to spam refresh our email 30 times a day for 5 days or something.

True, maybe we will get more info tomorrow, one can only hope
i will appologize if i took it wrong. i have seen to many peope whining cause they pre ordered in november that they wont get in day 1 when those of us that pre ordered in july will.
they say its not fair it should be random and not first come first server and arguing they should be in day 1 also .
so if i overreacted sorry. But im a bit tired of those types of comments.
if u wanted in day 1 u should of pre ordered day 1.
First off, this is my speculation. I don't really have any official source for this.
Personally, I suspect that most people will get in on the first day or two.I think Bioware will try and get as many accounts invited in as fast as they can within what the server can handle, if for no other reason than that people will complain if they don't get in on the first day and they want to avoid making customers with unrealistic expecations too unhappy.

I agree with this and I actually think this has been their plan all along. There's an old saying in customer service/sales that you under promise and over deliver. I felt like this was what they were doing by adding 2 extra days of early access and I think they are going to surprise folks with how many get in tomorrow. Again, this is all dependent on how the servers handle the load etc. but it would not shock me to see them get 500k or 600k in tomorrow. Just speculation though.
I just got the Guild e-mail. That's about 10 hours after it was first announced. So if you wait for an e-mail you might miss out on time you could be playing the game.

That would be the logical thing. However, anyone with a lot of MMO experience knows that not only are customer service rules usually not abided by in MMO business, but also big launches are notoriously messed up.
I think the problem with most people is the uncertainty. When exactly will I get in? And should I wait on my computer and check every ten minutes? The thing is, we don't know how many people will be let in the first day. Tens of thousands surely. But then I am guessing the people at BioWare will be keeping an eye on the population of the starting zones. When they dip below a certain number, they'll probably authorize more people to come in.
Hopefully BioWare has not underestimated the amount of servers they will need or else many of us could be in for a long wait. Of course I'm hoping they've overestimated and by day three everyone will be in. Yet, there is nothing to do now but wait, and hope.

nothing like this has ever been done in an mmo before. If something permanent like name taking happened, either everyone who preordered got early access at the exact same time, or no one did. This staggered crap is fine during a beta, but not for characters that aren't getting wiped. stupid stupid stupid.
I'm no powergamer in mmos. Used to be, not anymore. All I care about is being 'me', being comfortable with the look I pick for my character, and what he's called. Otherwise I wouldn't even have preordered at all. I would have waited till I didn't have 15 other great games to play.
People that paid in full should get in before people that put down $5 at any store. That is just my 2 cents. The $5 pre-order should have been required by a certain date to get into any early play and then if you paid in full by a certain date you got in on the 13th.

Rockjaw Stephen Reid
First: Early Game Access officially starts at 4AM PST / 6AM CST / 7AM EST / 12PM GMT / 1PM CET tomorrow. Emails will be sent around then.
Rockjaw Stephen Reid
Second: emails will go out after that point in in waves. Yes, we'll tell you when the emails will get sent via Forums/Twitter.
Rockjaw Stephen Reid
Third: No, not *everyone* will get in tomorrow. We are strictly allowing people admittance by when they redeemed pre-order code.
Rockjaw Stephen Reid
Fourth: All server types will be live tomorrow (PvP, PvE, RP-PvE, RP-PvP). All servers available to all (no EU-US or guild restrictions).
Rockjaw Stephen Reid
Fifth: If you're in a pre-imported guild, no, that doesn't get you priority access- but your guild server will be there when you get in.
Rockjaw Stephen Reid
Seventh: The Forums will be back up for all who have redeemed a pre-order code just before 7AM EST (AKA, Early Game Access start).
Rockjaw Stephen Reid
Eighth: Servers you'll see up tomorrow are NOT the final list. We'll be adding more during Early Game Access.
Rockjaw Stephen Reid
Ninth: I'm afraid I have no further updates on retailers and shipping, but it's moving about at very high levels. More tomorrow on that.
Ok... I'm sure you'll get one eventually. It's not like they have missed your account and mailed them to others.... or, have they?
Mite as well, you will get in a little early. The cost is still the same unless you hold out for months
Stephen Reid hinted that regular beta testers would get in first regardless of when they entered their pre-order code.... Guess I'll find out when I log in tomorrow morning at 4am... although I did pre-order the 1st day...
Will be interesting to see if their new forums can handle the load tomorrow. I'm guessing not. lol

Wrong, By July 30th, they had 120K preorders, and 20K in the first 2 days.
http://www.vgchartz.com/preorders/40755/USA/
listed #14. this was first week on chart, the week before was only 2 days for this game.
That's the best thing to do.
