probaly the hardcore peeps skipping through cutscenes, or possibly beta testers who know the lay of the land and what/where everything is, 15 i can certainly see if they started at 7am today thats a good 5-6 hours
Bad but I could just be people skipping every single dialogue option and rushing took me roughly 4 hrs 30 minutes to get to lvl 10-11 with listening to story (main story) and some quests here or there, but in all honestly it'snot going to ruin my game exprience if they want to grind it out and feel special for well not having a social life let em.
they upped it yea, seems both good and bad, one downside ofc is the increased speed to cap , on the other hand people move on faster ,skipping the little side quest and making more room for "new" folks to do the quest instead of having to do almsot every single quest in order to reach the level needed to move on.
and SW:tor is not a game 100%based on levels reaching the level cap does not end the game.
You know very well that some people have been beta testing this game long enough to have multiple class to Lv.50, which means that they already probably sat through every conversation in-game.
I'm pretty sure you knew about this and everyone else did as well, so what's your point?
The game is being out for nearly 6 hours for some people. It's entire possible to be level 15 if you haven't taken a break, even before the starter world XP boost.
Personally I think the boost was a good thing, the first 1-10 levels are pretty dull for some classes. (i.e. you want to be a ranged mage but most of your attacks from 1-10 are close range). Not the mention I don't care too much for the starter worlds.

Pretty much this.
good? bad? It's their dime so it doesn't matter.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

Uhg, the point is they actually did up XP gains...

Friend says he is seeing level 15's in game already. People are going to chew through the content fast at this rate. Good or bad in your opinion?
They increased the XP for the starter worlds, because too many people were whining about having to struggle to get to level 10 with the available quests.
I'm not a big fan of them doing this, personally. Most of the people complaining just failed to do bonus quests or would stealth their way through mobs to avoid fighting on the way to their objectives.

Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. Still what's your point?

Yep now people can skip a lot of content if this is true.
I was about to respond with a smart*** comment about how I think this discussion is ridiculous, but then I remembered I was on MMORPG.com's forums and I should know better.
It's just the rushers, forgetting about the ride mattering more than the destination untill they find out that the big party at the end of the road hasn't even started yet.
MMO games do not exist in a bubble. Stuff like this has various affects.
It could be insignficant, or it could be indicative of something that could cause resub drop offs -- which eventually will effect even the hardcore fan, as revenue decreases.
Again, it is somehting that we will have a better understanding about, say 3 months from now. Hopefully BW is already aware and prepared to minimize the impact (what ever it maybe).
From my understanding of what they did for the last Beta weekend EXP gains were increased only until a player reached level 10 and after that it went back to normal. This was done because the semi-retarded people which now sadly consists of 70% of any MMO population were missing their advanced trainer after leaving their starter planet.
I personally hit level 11 easily with my smuggler before the EXP change in the Beta... it's simple. Do ALL the content they give you on the starter planet and you will hit 10 at the very least.
I also heard they dumbed down some world bosses / flashpoints because people were having a hard time... god forbid people actually have to challenge themselves in a video game :P
Only care about my experience ingame, if they want to powerlvl let them, they cant go further then lvl 50 we wil lall eventually get there, and when u do it is better if there are many lvl 50 so we can raid pvp etc

Someone asked if the XP rate had been increased and then some people replid "yes". What's so ridiculous about it? What makes you so angry that'd you'd have to reply with a rude comment?

Last I heard they significantly uped XP gains in the starter worlds ( due to people missing AC's when they'd hit their fleet). Bad IMO.

They upped near the end of testing. but that doesn't matter.
As a long time tester, this is not beyond normal for some of the testers.
Grouping helps more than you can imagine.
People know where to go, skip vo and all that.
Don't complain, it it what it is.
accept it.
It's was going to happen.
If you thought it wasn't going to happen, that just meas your thinking on the situation didn't match the reality.

This long of a head start? There will be 50's before the game even launches.
Just par for the course, that is what some people like to do. Try to be the first 50's. They are not there to play the game, really.
Money in the dev's pocket too, so unless they try to cater to people like that, no worries.

He is at lvl 13 now and did not skip the dialogue.
Plays 5? hours now?
It seems ok but he said he might try to get to lvl 25 today? ... crazy gamers

It's just the lower levels that they increased the xp gain in. Once you hit around level 30 it starts feeling more like a grind.
