Should I buy FFXI?

I want to join too but i think its too old. I dont want to play game and be forced to solo all the way to lv 20+ just to be able to play with other players.

There is always players in the low level ranges... nothing to worry about there... even the most advanced players have to level up a lower job every once and a while

true...all the higher lvl start lvling theyr lowest job so they start back to lvl 1, there is always player to teamp-up with and you need to teamp-up absolutly when you reach lvl 15+ in dune :S ( maybe not absolutly but......)

FFXI is a great MMO except for the constant need of money and the jerky high lvls but you might enjoy it if you find some nice groups of people.

Well it doesn't matter when you join there will always be noobs no matter when you join and there will always be high levels that make noobs lol. And maybe if you help them then you will recieve help from there main

There are many negative and positive things about this game, one thing is tho.. there are not many european players so if ur in Europe there will be alot of times when u sit around waiting for a group for ages. Esp when you really need a group of 6 after lvl 10.

also you will have to put a hell of alot of time into farming, and then with that money maybe a trade or mining/fishing or both just so you get enough income to get the stuff you need because gill sellers have really jacked up the prices of the items ingame.

These are the reasons i quit the game, because I didn't have the time to farm, and my 2 hrs of play i could get here and there was generally waiting for groups....

I still did have fun playing the game, and will say its a good mmorpg, if you have the time to put into it, and some of the advanced jobs were really fun to play, i just didn't have the time for it..
