Hmmmm, anyone think that Stav1 is a raging, foaming fanboi of Dark and Light already?? Poor guy is about to have a nervous breakdown at seeing something about his game that isn't more hype, screenshots, or worship of the game. lol.
and Stav1... I totally disagree with your point anyhow. The more talk about Dark and Light there is, hypothetical posts like mine that started this thread - or - information of anykind will only help more and more people notice the game and that it is being talked about a lot. This has nothing to do with poltical elections and you are trying to compare oranges to ummm razor blades, heh. This post isn't mud slinging or untrue statements said to be facts about the game. It doesn't have libs and conservatives fighting over its values and statements. It's just a game coming out in the future. Again, I think that your getting so defensive over its being used in any light except more hype and drooling over it to be quite amusing actually.
Furthermore to go along with my "hypothetical" question.. Hehe - In that situation, I bet that you would be one of the first ones to pay the $47.99 two months before release, and the one crying on these forums the most if you did get ripped. Heh. And based on all your posts, you also wouldn't learn a thing. Next year "Dark and Light 2" would start being hyped and even though DnL was a known scam, you'd be standing in line drooling over the screenshots of DnL 2, posting fanboi posts here about it, and again be the first one to send in your prepay for the DnL2. You know it's true. Don't deny it! LOL.
er i am not a fanboy as you can tell from the few posts i've actually made on any topic.
Only reason i'm posting here is that you really pissed me off with this stupid post! And i can tell you that's quite an acheivement since there are alot of stupid posts on mmorpg.com which i don't reply to!!
Anyway rather than insulting me in your typically immature fashion, can you answer my question. Why post this about a particular game??
If you had, then you would already know the answer.
But again since you don't seem to understand very well what you do read and keep asking stupid stuff like "wheres my proof DnL is a scam"...
I posted this hypothetical scenatio question for a) FUN and for b) Because with all this games hype and promises, it would be a HUGE score on a scam if it was.
Again, learn to read before you attack a persons posts. I know my post isn't near as great as the 938th post of "WoW vs EQ2".. but hey then again we cannot all be as an exciting and great post writer as yourself.
This is very similar to a post about Mourning in their forums about the possibility of the whole thing being a scam, which the Mourning devs replied to. DnL will not be asking anyone for any money as far as I am aware, but I believe they are due to make an announcement about the release date.

Yep, and your above post was an award-winning post. Lot of thought put into your 1000th post there buddy. 1000 posts. Damn. Ever heard of "Quality, not quanity"??
Yeh, yeh... I see it it now. You're next response "FuQ U Mother FuQ'er!!" or something similar to that. Hehe.
Gotta love all the one sentence flame posts on these boards, they require so much thought and intelligence. Takes about as much thought and intelligence as hitting the same powerbar key over and over and over to succeed in all the recently released total P.O.S. mmos and acting like the game is "riveting, edge of your seat action"
Quick post here. This is all well and good but one slight problem....There is no pre-order at this time and from what I hear Its not coming out in the next week or any time soon(i think)... Now i dont understand the urge for people to pre-order things so far in advance. Sure it might make the devs a little more relaxed because they know exactly how much money is comming in on the first week but for the player side it is taking a huge risk if you dont know exactly what is going on(ie are in beta and such). Ive always have been the type to wait the first week and see how it goes and then make a desicion, however if you have the money, for some it may be worth it to gain that week alone.
Someone rubbed the wrong nerve I guess. Look guys, you can blast the originator all you want, but the fact still remains that what he was really asking is what would you do if a game was a scam and you lost your money. If you feel like paging back to my first reply I said this already. The way to protect yourself from a scam is to use a credit card to make the purchase. If it is a scam and there really isnt a game to play, you can call up your card company and cancel the charge.
Instead of jumping up and down yelling "you cant say that!!!!" when replying to this topic, why not try to give some real advice for protecting yourself from a scam. If you have a better idea for covering your own butt against a scam then lets hear it. Replying by saying that this is a stupid question is a stupid answer. Saying this kind of post is unfounded is very neive because stuff like this happens every day. So how would you protect yourself from loosing your money?
masterchaos- i think u shud loose ur money, especially if its the first time happenin to u. i mean how do u learn cept through trial n error? (its not school so there arent any teachers)
and i think dis is a great post. i mean it doesnt mean dat its aimed at DnL, but becuz of the low advertisement yet high fan base, it DOES seem like a scam to a regular person. and true, some ppl may choose not to play dnl for this thread. dats wen it separates the fans from the scaredy cats. and also the start of this topic could also mean that more ppl would take notice of dnl, which helps the devs, so either way, it can be a win win situation. (fanboi rite here!)
o yeah, about that pre-release, ill assure u guys, dat thing is more like a beta...sorta. sure u can play be4 everyone else and w/e, but wen it gets released, all the characters get deleted, but the items, and stuff u've done on the pre-release carries over. hope dis helps clear up some stuff
As an "Overseas"company there would, even if the hypothetical situation that you portrayed was to happen, still be many legal avenues that you can use to obtain your $$$ back.
Well, if there is really game but it turns out to be the crappiest thing on earth and only the movies r worth to see.... then I dont think u can sue them or get ur money back.....
Anyway, I dont think that is going to happen, its easier for WoW to be cancelled in Europe than that thing to happen

Lol so essentially your two reasons for posting this are totally immature, nonsensical and of no worth.
And you've probably influenced a number of people into thinking DnL is a scam. Nice one.
Anyway i have a doc to draft in RL so won't be posting in this great thread again.
This is very similar to a post about Mourning in their forums about the possibility of the whole thing being a scam, which the Mourning devs replied to. DnL will not be asking anyone for any money as far as I am aware, but I believe they are due to make an announcement about the release date.
I got a good chuckle out of this thread. I would be pissed if that happened.

Aaaand another one... This is like those idiots you see on TV and never think they exist in real life:
"Hey.. What if.. you were Batman. What would be the first thing you did?"
"But I am not Batman...?"
"No, I know but... what if you were?!"
"But why..? I am not? I am a janitor, not Batman?"
"Yes I KNOW, but.. what if..."
"There is no if, I am a janitor..."
And you sit there watching them, wondering if they use their appendix for brains, and it was surgically removed at childhood.
An now they just.. flood this thread. I was sure you guys were imaginary...
"This is not a game to be tossed aside lightly.
It should be thrown with great force"

nice try...
almost similar to mourning's recent post.
though dnl has the benefit of an actual beta, with actual content, video's of ingame things etc...
now, little fanboy,go back to your little games cause obviously you have problems with games being more popular then your crappy game -.-
and yeh, that was a pretty lame and bad attempt at a What If question..
