Loving SWTOR, get a guild, dont play hours nonstop, craft pvp, quest, do flashpoints feel the game, enjoy, it is Star wars everything else is sub-par
+1
This is a game to take your time with, to enjoy. If you are a power gamer, you will be wasting your money imho. Its like a bottle of good wine, to me. You take a sip, enjoy the taste. My two credits.
I agree play a couple of hours, then step outside and take a deep breath smile and mow the lawn or something. come back inside fire up TOR and you will be in love again.
On topic: Huttball blows Hutts' balls. When I realized you couldn't opt out of certain warzones while beta testing, I realized that it was going to piss people off, and it added to my reasons not to preorder.

I swear to God almost every defense has that whole "get a guild" mess, why must this this game require a guild in order to fully enjoy it with no issues? Rhetoricle question I know.
I might get banned for this. - Rizel Star.
I'm not afraid to tell trolls what they [need] to hear, even if that means for me to have an forced absence afterwards.
P2P LOGIC = If it's P2P it means longevity, overall better game, and THE BEST SUPPORT EVER!!!!!(Which has been rinsed and repeated about a thousand times)
Common Sense Logic = P2P logic is no better than F2P Logic.

People who live a hell of a lot closer to the equator than I do. ;-)
Been queing up for premade PvP groups with my guild all day. Having a blast. We've had the most fun in Huttball and we went undefeated in all Warzones today.
A little bit of coordination in Huttball makes it so much more fun. Passing the ball through fire traps. Force leaping to the goal. Stunning ballcarriers in the fire. Pulling ball carriers off the platforms or knocking them off. Awesome stuff.
I hope your not talking about Ilum? For one it's not Open World anything, more like an Instanced PvP zone. And two there's nothing free for all in Ilum, you die and respawn instantly.
And what would FFA have to do with respawn? FFA just means that anyone can attack anyone outside of safe zones.
The game is quite decent as a pve experience. It plays a lot like the original KOTOR games which is why I bought it. Replaying a class however is total fail, thats why the mirrors are nice. I can play a republic commando and a sith powertech to feel the different classes without replaying the same content.
The PVP is really bad, a decade behind the times bad. All 3 warfronts are pretty poor maps.
The spaceship one is the only cool concept, but you get held beind an invisible wall and can't get into the action.
Alderaan is passable, but the gun battery lazers lag up a lot of people's systems making the map unplayable.
Huttball is just lame due to an annoying map design and an overall dumb concept. Elite soldiers and sith / jedi playing a lame version of capture the flag?
The 1-50 lvl range is bad
The premade vs randoms is bad
The lack of guild vs guild or premade vs premade is bad.
The only point of pvp is to grind for gear. Once you have it there is no point to the pvp since there is no ladder or any way to measure skill.
Like the post thread titled "why I hate this game" I too found myself addicted. I mean right off you are floored with the way it plays and the class story lines are just brilliant.
I found myself playing for days straight, not sleeping. fun right?
Well I warn you, do not get a good nights sleep or this may happen to you....
You may try space, laugh that anyone seriously made this for a star wars MMO. But hey no big deal right? just go back to questing and loving the game.
"record scratch sound" Noooooooooooooooooooooooo, as Luke yelled so well. You see, I always knew that the Battlezones would be my reason to stay. I say again Noooooooooooooo.
If you are a PvP player I am telling you now, do not buy this game, thus you will not be here or some other forum saying WTF Bioware? It is just a horrible design and the actual fighting is prettty bad as well.
First off you cannot choose your battlezone, so let's say you find the idea of Hutt ball an insult, or even a joke, or hey even not your thing? too bad you are playing it. So not being able to choose just sucks.
Then there is the fact you are forced into PUG's. You can team up with 3 friends but the other 4 players are ravdom. I found the nature of 1 of the other 2 zones to be too helter skelter as well, so even if I could live with just playing the one, I am not allowed.
Then there is the no level brackets. I thought this would take a while to effect anyone right? wrong I just had my face handed to me, because even though I was raised the 13 levels needed, I did not have the 13 levels worth of abilities. Stupid.
All this is the name of "NO TWINKS"
I will not go into how stupid it is to malign people for getting good gear. I will not point out that only non pvp players would whine about other players having good gear. I wil not go into how utterly stupid it is to look down on a player for doing the work to get good gear is. Hey Nor wil I point out that every so called twink I ever played with would rather have standardnized PvP gear.
I will just say this as a solution is an insult to anyone looking forward to PvP in TOR. Do not believe me? try it out, I am sure of one thing, for every person who says they like PvP in TOR 20 others will quietly move unto GW2 or some such.
So with space being for people who do not play space games and PvP for people who do not play PvP games and crafting being a joke of a side mini game...I will sum it up this way.
I am friggin tired of getting excited for MMO releases. I was for this one and I still think questing is great "record scratch sound"
Oh I forgot, I played a Imp agent in beta, so when I got my chance to re build my IA I found out one important thing, TOR gets really boring fast when you replay the same quest. Tature of what makes it so much fun the first time also makes it nerve grating the 2nd.
So I warn you thusly, the people who will stay long term in TOR will be the WoW players. I will not buy my pre order now. no point.
I will quietly wait for GW2, the secret world, or arch age. The way MMO's have been since Dark Age of Camelot and SWG, maybe I should not bother.
I hope for those that have a similar outlook on MMO's, that this saves you money and time. I am outtie, from here and TOR. CYA when GW2 hits "FINGERS CROSSED"
PvP and Bioware just don't go together. Anyone even slightly interested in PvP should stay away from this one for sure. TOR is mostly a single player game with players thrown into the mix to allow them to charge $15 a month.

agreed, granted the focus obviously wasn't PVP but if you really want a MMO to go the distance you need good PVP. Your end-game is generally either PVP or Raiding and PVP in rift is more enjoyable than it is here sadly

What do you mean to the last part? In SWTOR?

things that i dislike?
1. no cross faction chat at least with toggle on/off
2. a-tab (they add it later on at least)
3. cant send guild mail? (still cant found it if its exists)
