A thousand years into the future when robots can play MMOs...

If you are are fighting a player character, but the entity that is operating it is a robot, would that be considered PVP or PVE?

    Why would robots be playing games?  If we're talking robots that have self awareness and can experience pleasure then we have some grounds for a debate, but if it's just a mindless automaton programmed to push buttons as a response to input then it's no different than what you're doing now.

    No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

    I was thinking in terms of that one Futurama episode where they are all playing this virtual reality FPS, and bender is operating an avatar.
