Help me choose a class for tomorrow morning!

in Star Wars: The Old Republic

In every MMO i play I tend to be a caster mage type of class. Is the Sith Sorc the closest thing to it in TOR? What do you guys think?

    Get ready for the greatest MMO ever made!! Seriously having a blast with this game.

    To answer your question, I would say yes, or maybe even a Gunslinger.

    It's not the closest, it and the Jedi equivilent are the only caster types.

    A Sith Sorcerer/Jedi Sage can feel like a mage, warlock or priest depending on your choices... I'm playing a Madness Sorcerer and it feels a bit like an Affliction Warlock from WOW with a splash of healing thrown in.

     

    Specializations for this class take a while to develop so well into your 20s you'll be able to heal a group even if you don't spec for it....or... you can burn things down and have some great AOE if that's what you want to do.

     

    There is a great sticky post at the Sorcerer official forums once they're back up. It'll tell you all about choices, builds, playstyle etc.
