I counted 224; 123 in NA and 91 in EU. I may have double counted a couple of missed a couple, but damn. That's a lot of servers for a launch.
I'll bet half of those disapear in a few months...
Haha seriously though, call me a hater but chances are there will be many merges. All games end up doing it, initial launch will often times over-crowd the game and after it will die down greatly.
Couple of questions. Did they get the UI customization in for todays official release? What about high-res textures - are they in for release?
High res textures have always been there. Easy way to test is to do the first flashpoint solo. First time, kill all the enemies then start the cutscene. Zoom in on the bounty hunters and youll see they arent that high res in terms of textures.
On the first boss, dont aggro the adds that try to kill you (theyll end up standing there doing nothing).
Now after that kil lthe boss WITHOUT AGGROING THE ENEMIES. Now when the cutscene plays, youll see the mandalorian bounty hunters in all their high res glory standing behind the npcs while you talk about victory n stuff.
Wonder if someone will come up with a hack that lets people use high res textures all the way through o.o

Eek. I know it's a huge launch and all, but damn are that many needed, err, will they be in 3 months? That is a buttload of servers.
I sit on a man's back, choking him and making him carry me, and yet assure myself and others that I am very sorry for him and wish to ease his lot by all possible means - except by getting off his back.

They've been pretty cautious as far as bring new servers online... let's hope they know what they're doing.
I prefer the "sorry, deal with it" approach to this issue. Sure queues are a pain, but they're nothing compared to dead servers. Agreed. I'd rather have que times now and healthy server pops long term. Server merges tend to get people anxious.

And rightly so.
But yeah, I think they would have been cleverer to take the short term hit and have queues then throw up servers by the score. That would have been better for the game in the long term. We have to remember that SWTOR is about shifting boxes right now though so I can see why they have gone the route they have with this... PR right now, at launch, is everything to them

Reduced to trolling the SWTOR forums.
Does a little piece of you die everytime you hear someone enjoys this game?
She isn't trolling, she is just asking questions about the state of the at release.
Have we just got a case that you might not like the answers you might have to give if you answered her constructively and in a decent manner?
When she constantly asks questions to which she already knows the answer in poorly veiled, and lame, attempts to upset fans of the game... hmmm, kinda sounds like trolling, doesn't it?

No.
The question can only upset you I guess if you don't like the answer you have to give.

It certainly is... 10,k to 15k players per server...

And the servers have only been up about 25 minutes and already about 1/5 of the NA servers have a que and a 1/4 are full.
You're very good at trolling with "innocent questions", but it's getting really damn old.
