There's so much hate going on, can't really take it serious anymore.
I realise that most people are having to much fun ingame to come here and post, but geez can we atleast get some positivity in here.

SWTOR is great. Many MMORPGs are great. I agree this forum is crumbling under the impetus of immaturity and anonymity.
Yeah because if you knew my address and name i couldn't say that SWTOR is not a good mmo.

Dude, it's launch day. There's going to be a lot of forum activity, both positive and negative. Second, why does it bother you anyway? If people want to go off the chain and have crazy conversations, let them. Stop trying to interfere with other people's desire to debate one another. Third, your post is just as bad as the posts you are reproaching, so congrats on adding fuel to the fire.
If you think it is bad now, wait until the people haven't played the game yet learn what the game is like.

Sounds like the OP is saying we are only allowed to say good things about the game... Sorry but that's not going to happen we have a right to say we dislike the game and you have the right to say you like that game.

Unlike these forums, learning about a game typically involves playing it. That's how things work in the real world.
Ey, don't put words in my mouth. Everyone has a right to their own opinion. I was simply pointing out that looking at this forum that opinion seems to be almost only negative. While if you look at the swtor community forum the general mood is much more positive.

Actually if you look anywhere else the mood towards this game is rather positive.
I don't care about innovation I care about fun.
As if this is any different compared to other game launches.

1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.
This is the only mmo forums I frequent, and every game that has come out has a large amount dichotomic feedback here. Gw2 has a lot of praise as an amazing game, and at the same time there's constanly people saying it will suck because gw1 wasn't a mmo ect. Or every negative view of swtor is autmatically a gw2 fanboy.Tera has been chastised from every angle because it's "eastern" ; both for trying to appeal to western audience and for not trying to appeal to a western audience. It's just going to happen.
Idk what the mood is on other mmo sites, but obviously the mood is going to be better on the official forums than this forums that attracts such a wide range of opinions.
I don't really see the point of this thread either except for more useless baiting between fanboys and haters . Just let people have their opinion... it will most likely change/simmer down ina couple weeks
I'm not sorry that gamers here are more critical about a game that has been released so many times over the years and are sick to death of it.
Even though I critizise some details, I agree.
The hyperbole drama people make here around SWTOR is really sad and uncalled for. I didn't have so much fun with a MMO for a VERY long time. You don't? Fine, but calling a barely launched MMO with doomsday hysteria is just WAY too much.

Elikal, I respect your opinion on these boards very much, but if I may ask, then is it not just as bad for a player to come to these boards, and spout off how SW:TOR is the greatest game ever, and it will "kill" WoW, and make off the wall predictions that this game will have a bazillion subs in a couple of months, and all other games suck in comparison to it...just to hype up the game, when at best it is just average or a wee bit better than average?
