    Mundane, below average, subpar, underwelled.

I am a big fan of Star Wars, but not this mmo. There is nothing innovative about this shoebox themepark. It is nothing more than a sequel to KOTOR 1,2, which in itself wouldn't be bad, but with nothing innovative, nothing new, no debth, and no end game content worth speaking off, leaves those who crave a deeper and more complex game still searching.

So yes I would agree that it is Shockingly..... (Bad) in my opinion.

My thing is... for me this is the second Bioware game  (DA2) in a row that has failed to deliver according to their previous record of awesomeness...

Now has me worred about ME3... especially when I look at the trailer with sober eyes and see things like 'rail shooter' firing machinegun at 400ft tall alien (wtf!?!?!)... etc..

If ME3 is meh... my annoyance level will make my frustration with TOR look miniscule!

It's great in some respects, severely lacking in others...equating out to rather "average" for myself as well.

I enjoy the game for what it's worth: great cutscenes like i'd enjoy in other bioware single player games, star wars atmosphere attached to a holy trinity system, fun yet limited pvp, fun yet limited pve.

The biggest problem I have with the game, if i'm not trying to appreciate the few points I do enjoy...I end up thinking too much about the glaring things that are missing.

The biggest thing for me, the game has 0 immersion, it feels quite lifeless. I'm honestly surprised that when I click a random filler npcs...they don't even say "Hi", it's just...it feels rushed or maybe just an afterthought.

I quite enjoy the PVP for what it is, the only problem is it's incredibly shallow. I would say the whole game is quite shallow in many respects, from crafting...to pve...to pvp.

I can't be one of these people that simply slam it, because I do see good in it, and I have had some fun in the game. However, I truly question the longevity of this game with the average MMO fan.

Make it 3 do not forget NWN 2. NWN was one of the best games ever then on the part 2 they passed of most devlepment and just published it. The game was not the worst ever, but by no means lived up to the orignal.

Lets line up some succesfull mmo's with a subscription playerbase and bas their succes on it.

    WoW #1

    SWTOR #2 ?

    Rift #3 ?

    Aion #4 ?

This list may not be accurate enough as we do not have real acces to those data, but in general i think its save to say its very close.

These 4 are very popular subscription mmo's and will duke it out for the comming years.

WoW is in rapid decline as shareholders got very disturbing news the past year.

Cataclysm start had 12.8 million people

Cataclysm lost around 1.7 million subs before SWTOR launched so i expect alot more subs down in Q4.

My gues is SWTOR and WoW are going toe to toe in 2012 while GW2 might steal the show as it contains a buy to play format and is looking very good so far.

I like SWTOR altough i was expecting a failure based on youtube movies etc etc.

While playing it i have alot of fun so far.

2012 will be a interesting year for mmo developers and for mmo fans.

WoW SWTOR GW2 are going to maku up a HUGE player base :)

Quality determines their succes i geus wich is good news for us :)
