Funny how a game can win an award like this without even really being played.........it just came out and has tons of bugs and graphic flaws.....so how exactly is this game of the year?

Lol, it has less bugs and graphical flaws than many games that have been out on the market for years. Do I think it should have won GOTY? No, because it's only been out for a couple of weeks, and MMOs shouldn't be judged until they've been out for at least 6 months.
But let's not act like this game isn't pretty well-polished. It certainly has bugs, but nothing like we've seen from new releases in the past, minus Rift.
Straight up it won game of the year, Not MMO of the year, I mean Skyrim was just crap I knew that wasnt the game of the year, and woah batman what are we 10 years old get that game outta here, Uncharted are you retarded.

At least half my guildies see a unintended green forcefield light glitch at most of the outposts past Corescant, many in game special move animations dont even happen in pvp but the dmg and cooldowns take place, They have in game experience gains for systems that arent even in the game yet (legacy).....getting booted to character select screen when you accept que for pvp......i'd hardly say its polished even a little.
They have a lot to do in very little time because players....even the ones still very loyal...really dont have that much tolerance for being treated like crap from a company they give lots of money and time to.

Yup, definitely my game of the year so far. Unchartened 3 is a pretty close second thou.
Heh, no I've seen more bugs in this game that I have with many others before. Rift was certainly more polished than this for instance. SWToR is about as bad as AoC after lvl 30 or so.
/played right now is 5 days and 18 hours. Loving every moment. People from my old SWG guild seems to love this game too.

I need to take this advice more.
This game is in better shape that Rift was and far more fun too, I beta tested Rift and prefer this to that hands down. This will have a story for a very long time and as soon as new races appear it will carry on growing imo.

Batman should of won for all around game of the year IMO. Havent played enough of Skyrim yet to want to name it, but Game INformer gave it a 9.5 despite noting numerous game crashing bugs. That shit pisses me off, and why it took a couple of years to finish all the acheivements for Fallout3.
Asking Devs to make AAA sandbox titles is like trying to get fine dining on a McDonalds dollar menu budget.
Games that bring in the Metric Tonnage of cashflow are much more likely to win the awards. Nature of the beast.
It does help to have a limited window to experiance the flaws. But any MMO is going to have some. And MMOs do not react that nimbly to them. It's the 3-6 month range that will really tell the tale.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.
I would be enjoying it if fucking €A didn't screw up my key (which was reported and now I'm waiting for new 1 for over 8 days)...
Tho as far as I've seen when I play on friends account - everyone on server (who I had the chance to talk with) enjoys the game. Tho it's not what I've been expecting, maybe my expectations were set too high (giving the hype and all) but I'm enjoying the story (so far, since I didn't make it past lvl 12 on friends acc)
