OMG I'm like loving this game so much. Ive watched all the films of star wars and then they shut down Star Wars galaxies before i had a chance to play (SAD FACE).
So then when Star Wars was being made under the watchful eye of lucas arts (Awesome dev team) and the fanatastic EA games (WOOT WOOT I love battlefield) I was well going to play this game. Then I played it and I was all like
STAR WARS . LIGHTSABER . ME . JEDI.
Then my mum was all like "You're 38 years old dont you think its time you got a job and a girlfriend, maybe even went outside and got some fresh air?" I was all like MUuuummmmm IM A JEDI. Jedis dont need social comformity. Then I used my jedi mind trick on her THIS ISNT THE SON YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. Which tottally worked because I'm a Jedi. Then I went back to playing a Jedi.
So I'm all like pew pew and im loving my single player RPG but then my friend DarthWang rings me. He's all like
BANNED.
I'm like wut?
DUDE. BANNED.
Wut dude, why?
DUDE. I WAS PLAYING THE GAME. WANDERED INTO SOME HIGH LVL AREA IM CRAPPING XP.
Dude?
THEN BANNED.
I was all like dude. He was all like banned. So then im in game being a jedi still and my dad walks in and he's all like Graham I am your father. I was all like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo. Then he said my tea was ready so I came downstairs and took off my vader outfit and helemt because you cant eat food with a helment on.
But yeah this game is AWESOME and I cant wait till they make it into an MMO when theyre done with the RPG.

God you must be board.
I bet most people won't get the satire and flame you lol
But i like "But yeah this game is AWESOME and I cant wait till they make it into an MMO when theyre done with the RPG".
Sadly I'm no Jedi dude. Perhaps when someone makes the SW's universe into an action game I will be.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
I'm 36 and I love the game...though I have a wife and kids. Sadly though neither the kids nor the wifey falls for my jedi tricks. Must be I have not reached master status yet.
Actually, fantastic game in my opinion. But very much on rails, so much in fact that the whole leveling seems pretty much like the space part of the game - on rails. Which is not the way I imagine a space/sci fi MMO should be designed. But since this on track system is so bloody well done I still can't stop playing!

That was very well written ... laughed my ass off on that one.
I'm 52 yrs old and I really love this game like no other. I hated the Star Wars movies...every single one of them! But this game ... Incredible and can't wait till they fix the few things that really annoy me.
Is there something wrong with me? Honestly.
Everyone I know thinks I'm crazy to be wasting my life away playing little kids games on a coompooter at my age.
Then they lurch away dragging thier knuckles and go home to watch the football game and drink beer till 2 O'clock in the morning with thier faces painted in weird colors and shit......
I'm like totally JEDI when you put it that way!
Lol, your mom might have a point, Jedi or not.
Still, entertaining little story.
This! SO this! I STILL have friends who head out to the bar at least once a week - and easily drop $100 - and they have the nerve to question MY diversion of choice. At 47 myself - and you're no wierder than I am (Although that might not be a good thing!)
Fantastic Jedi story, thanks :-)

An honest review of SW:TOR 6/10 (Danny Wojcicki)
I wonder how many people playing SWTOR actually fit the stereotype of the OPs post.
From my experience so far, players are either old and married, or still in school... I don't think Star Wars geeks are basement dwellers like fantasy/anime geeks, it is too mainstream these days.
Can't you be both a SW geek and a fantasy geek? Those Star Trek geeks though, they are something else!
this ^^
