The video is privat. If you just recently changed it to public,it may take a while for YouTube to notice. Or you completely forgot to change it..

I'll wait to the day's end when the moon is high
And then I'll rise with the tide with a lust for life, I'll
Amass an army, and we'll harness a horde
And then we'll limp across the land until we stand at the shore

Im confused... MMORPG lists this as F2P but I keep hearing it will be sub based....

If it is F2P, i will likely give this a serious shot. Otherwise ill pass.

    Is this a childrens game?

  • ace5572ace5572 Member Posts: 113

Not a childrens game, just Japanese. Reminds me of Final Fantasy Tactics, might check this out more.

  • EdellEdell Member UncommonPosts: 23

It looks japanese but the game is actually made by a french studio named Ankama.

And nope, it's not a children(-only) mmorpg. There are lots of gameplay elements that kids might not understand : political system, open pvp, rvr, turn based combats where strategy is needed, living eco-system, etc.

I got this question to the creators of such games. Why don't you make avatars even smaller?

So that we need a magnifying freeking glass to see what colour is our hair!!

  • DranmarthDranmarth Member UncommonPosts: 57

Cra is not the final class, Sram is the newest class and there's still one more to go, Cra was one of the first classes...

Played it was level 42 or something can't remember but lost my account. I think their planning on a wipe when it gets released properly in Febuary so I guess it doesn't matter since I can create a new account and everyone's starting again anyways. I don't know, I kind of like it. If you like turn based games then it does turn based gaming pretty well.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.

You know you can just zoom in the view with the mouse wheel right?

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Their not all that bad. Plus, this one is not an "Asian" game. Like Edell  said its created by french developers.

This game is suprisingly fun.  Comming from your traditional mmo background... (started everquest in 1999, the rest is history), I enjoy the game thus far.

Then again I am a fan of games such as Final Fantasy Tactics in which it is a grid/turn based combat.  Granted some it is a little too "cutesy" for me at times, but beyond that I think the game is pretty fun.

It could just be that "new game smell" that I am captivated by but I suppose it is nice to stray away from the "mainstream" type mmos and try something a little different.

Either way, I am enjoying it thus far and find it a refreshing change.  (Granted I could be jaded by it being new and exciting), but none the less, it is fun for the time being.

Also I am pretty sure there will be a whipe of characters after open beta.

I am entitled to my opinions, misspellings, and grammatical errors.

    So....

A 2-D Iso platformer is being featured on MMORPG why?

Whats with the hate and the " MMORPG.COM should be embarrassed". You should be embarrassed. If you think a mmo needs to have bf3 graphics to be good then you don't know anything about this genre. Ultima Online has simliar graphics and to this day is still one of the best mmos in my book. This game looks awesome. Can't tell till i try it but it reminds me of FFT. I LOVE! the charm these mmos have graphically. Colorful and full of imagination.

Hope this game is good. I'll be playing.

So what if it's 2-d? You must be new to the genre. I think some of you folks need to go back to the consoles

  • EdellEdell Member UncommonPosts: 23

I'll always prefer good 2D over bad/uninspired 3D (just look at Bastion or Rayman Origins).

Wakfu art is made by a team that is also working on an animated tv show (currently at its second season) which takes place several years after the events of the mmorpg. So the graphics are very well done and beautifuly animated.

And it's a 2D open-world sandbox with an ecosystem, a political system, a player-driven economy, and turn based combat with strong strategy elements. Not really your usual "korean hack&slash farm-fest mmo".

    My little friend..

I didn't mention graphics, so I have no idea what you are talking about. It offers Fisher Price gameplay..   The fact that it is isometric 3D is a design decision, has nothing to do with gameplay. Thus a 2D game with same mechanics is viable when cross referencing games that are much older, that these newer games are just rip-offs of.

Served up "cutsie" so children get hooked. But honestly, what adult wants to deal with a turn based game with strategy like that? Who does the game server? What demographic?.

Go play Warlord and tell me that it doesn't offer much more.

"No they are not charity. That is where the whales come in. (I play for free. Whales pays.) Devs get a business. That is how it works."

My hole post wasn't directed to you. None of it i guess but your own words i quoted. That was directed at alot of negitive comments i read. But how could you say they should be embarressed for covering a game you don't think is a good game. And what does Warlord offers more have to do with this game?

And this Adult likes that kinda gameplay. Anyone who has ever played Final Fantasy Tactics would enjoy such a game.
