i have to say i love the dcuo combat... enemy shots do not auto hit, they can be dodged. you can block, roll etc... and the combat is real time.
you use the left and righ mouse buttons for combos, which is so simplistic, amazing how many combos you can do with two buttons held and pressed for different times, and kudos for programming the input. Then you have click abilities, the old 1-2-3-4.
Is this how tor is? I havent played it, the only thing I know about tor is that it was being made. I kinda figure the combat from dcuo would translate over well. For Jedi, taping the left and right mouse buttons would do different saber swings and then you have the force /push/run/lightening/sabre throw/standard force powers as the click abilities. The animations should be cool like batman arkhum city, fluid and nice
I still don't know what all this noise is about. Never ha any problems with the combat. Could someone enlighten me?
Some classes are affected far more than others. (ie. Troopers worse than their mirror BH). If you do not play that class you may not see it as much.
Hmm. Which classes are the ones being affected the most?
Marauders are one of the worst.

That's a Sith Warrior advanced class, right? I've got a Jedi Guardian alt going right now and so far, things seem to be okay. My duo partner is playing a Sage and we seem to be tearing through mobs fairly well.
I never go to the SWTOR forums, so I'm out of the loop on the issue.

Pretty much any class with an animation cast can be affected but there are so many different variations of the problem that most classes are affected one way or another. It doesn't always happen and it mostly happens to people who try to cast quick and chain spells together. you will notice it from time to time.

It's very possible that if the "trolls" didn't complain about this issue that it wouldn't have been so high on BW's priority list to fix. Shouldn't you be thankful that the "trolls" basically forced BW to acknowledge this issue by repeatedly posting about it, and now BW is trying to fix it?
Almost never have any issues on my Juggernaut. Two times my Slam has borked up, three times my Retaliation has borked up and about 4 times or so my Ravage has borked up (doing the animation but not actually activating.) You notice it when it happens but fortunately it's been very rare for me. One glitch I could reproduce easily was activating Rage and then moving to make it do the animation without actually being activated. That seems fixed as I can't reproduce that glitch anymore.
Nice to see them fix it. And I agree there's a lot of trolls grossly exaggerating the extend and impact of the combat glitches. I still feel it's very important to fix it, though, as combat is really important since you do it quite a lot.

[Mod Edit]
There are what, 4 mega threads now on the SWTOR forums regarding this issue? Each of these threads has textual AND visual feeback. Suffice to say if you still don't get it, you never will.
Wrong. I have pointed out many things that I see as problems (some large, some small) on this very forum. I simply haven't experienced this issue at all on my character. As others have pointed out, it appears to be very class specific. I'm guessing my class isn't subjected to it.
Just because I see many of these issues as minor, while you see them as gamebreaking, doesn't mean I don't see them. My priorities are different from yours. I would rather they fix the UI before dealing with other minor issues. That one is a huge problem, especially for us healers.

Ah, I think i know what you're talking about. I'd mostly chalked any delay up to me not paying attention to the timing of my spells and trying to play too quickly . Since my overall effectiveness with the Guardian is still good I hadn't thought much of it.
If it's a serious problem and a known issue, I'm glad they're working on it.

SWTOR combat is very similar to WoW's combat.
Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob?
Hmm. Which classes are the ones being affected the most?

Tyrion is everyones hero.
I play a Juggernaut and this issue is terrible for him. I think Sith Warriors in general are borked.
