Ive been playing MH3 the past few days and was curious wheter you could consider it an mmo. also too anyone who plays! THIS GAME IS FRICKEN AWESOME! Some of the best combat ever except underwater... i hate them underwater fights i use to the controls more or less but i always get charged underwater and more times then not it almost alwasy kills me bc ill be mid potion when it happen and ill spend all that time swiming away. Either way cool game just wanted some input and maybe a few new friends.

I read it is not considered an MMO cause you can't play with anyone. You can only play with people you invite. Is that true/

I don't consider it an MMO because of the way it's built, it is more multiplayer than demon souls, but same catagory.

No you just CHoose your server type be it Rookie/Vet/Open/Recuit then choose a sub server like Open 1 open 2...etc. then choose the City each city can hold 4 ppl who anyone can join so long you dont set a password. Its a really fun game and in its peak hours that ive noticed theres around 2kish ppl and thats without being able to see whos in the vet server since you gotta be 31+.

Its more lobby based than persistent world, so no I wouldn't call it an mmo.

Underwater combat did take some time getting use to, Lagiacrus still drives me nuts when he doesn't come out of the damn water.

Regardless it is still a hell of a lot of fun.image
