End Game for soloers?

cetoceto Member UncommonPosts: 21

Hi there,

I am thinking of coming back to Rift, last time I played was during the first month of release. I was wondering if there is anything at end game for people who don't want to raid, are there any solo dungeons or questlines for soloers?

Thanks!

Yes there is plenty of stuff for non-raiders and that’s why i subbed again a couple of days ago.

They actually have Solo/Duo dungeons at lvl 50, only 3 atm, however. Also, they have a very nice acievement system, dailies, epic story quest lines and the ever popular artifact collecting :). Not to mention the new zone via patch 1.6

Ember isle is indeed magnificent! Check 1.6 additions if you want and see what’s coming with 1.7 next week. Really nice work by TRION!

I would agree here with one asterisk * . The super pro top gear still comes from raiding. In 1.7 they are bringing the gear you get from open world content up to par with the tier 1 raid gear.

It is definitely alot better then it used to be where there was no real gear that was compettive with the raiding and it was more Raid then Rift. That changed alot thanks to feed back.

Content tier adjustments to better match with the items granted:

    - Intro 50 content: level 50 Dungeons, Chronicles, Rifts, and Zone Events.

    - “Tier 1″: Expert Dungeons, Ember Isle, early Prestige Ranks, Expert Rifts, and Zone Events.

    - “Tier 2″: Master Dungeons, entry Raids and Slivers, mid-Prestige Ranks, Raid Rifts, and Zone Events.

    - “Tier 3″: Difficult Raids and Slivers, high-end Prestige Ranks.

EXACTLY what level of gear can't I get solo or in "public quests/rifts/raids/PvP"?

Based on what you say it still will be more Raid than Rift. Just getting to current endgame raids will be easier.

There is also the pvp if that is something that interests you as well as instant adventures. Instant adventures are pretty fun and are great if you want a quick group to just kill some mobs and complete some goals without any hassle. They can also give you some decent rewards. I got a few epic drops doing them.

the 1 &2 man stuff are called chronicles..which hopefully they will be adding a lot more of them..theyare excellent to play..especially the 1 man..there is only one x 1 man atm,but has i say hopefully they will be adding more.

Don't take me wrong but from game called Rift I expected rifts as major feature around which one game is built - in general as few instanced stuff as possible or at least open world stuff on pair with instanced one. I played Rift since second beta event and left like 3 months ago. The reason why I left is that it grew to be just another WoW clone where open world gameplay is simply wtf and PvE wise the only real part were raids (instances) and as for PvP warfronts (again instances). Both having nothing to do with rifts I might add.

Now if are telling me that there was some kind of revolution in game so in Rift again major feature are rifts (as title claims it is) then I'm back there withing a few minutes, why not. Me and I guess a lot of other players that left the game even sooner than I did for pretty much the same reasons. But as long as current endgame is instanced and open world stuff is so short as it was atleast even those 3-4 months ago then I doubt many ppl would return

There are two chronicles both of which were designed for two players.  There are no "1 man" chronicles but they are both very soloable, depending on the level of your gear.

Edited to add: Technically there are three chronicles but one of them is just a celebration of your character reaching 50 and it grants you the ability to take advantage of planar attributes.  It is repeatable, and yeah, I guess it is a 1 man instance.  I don't really consider this the same as the HK or GSB chronicles though.

if you go full on pvp you get get some high end gear, but it wont have any hit/focus on it. with the tier 2 raid rifts and invasions you can get gear about raid 1 level. you can't get the high end HK raiding gear solo.

Why was I quoted on this? lol. Invasions are a major feature that you earn some really nice rewards for doing but they aren't a 24/7 let me leave town and do a major invasion right now thing. They happen several times an hour though thoughout the world. What do you except when you play a theme park style game? Name me one them park that doesn't have any type of raids. At least Rift attempted to do something different. Weather it worked or not is really in the eye of the beholder. I just don't understand why I got quoted for your rant? All I did was answer the question lol
