I've been thinking about trying out these titles after mindless ranked solo q in LoL. I want a good RPG with some PvP. think these 2 are wourth trying out?
LoTRO has monster play which is a very loose interpretation of PvP. I played lotro in the beginning and never even used this feature because it felt, at best, tacked on. If you're a PvP enthusiast I highly doubt lotro has anything to offer you. Feel free to look more into how the monster play system works for yourself if you aren't especially PvP centric.
Darkfall is a completely different story. Again, I played it at launch and still have some fond memories of my time there but, where lotro is a more PvE focus game with PvP tacked on, Darkfall is a PvP game with PvE tacked on. Also of note when considering trying Darkfall is that it's a nearly dead game at the moment since it's a fairly sure bet that with the release of Darkfall 2.0 all current characters will be wiped. I was a hardcore Darkfall supporter prior to launch and while I think its done a few things right there was sooooo much more that was half assed or left as unfulfilled promises by the devs.
