Because we care about ensuring that Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ provides you with a consistent and quality game play experience, we will be postponing weekly maintenance this week. Downtime was originally scheduled for Tuesday, January 17th, 2012 from 2AM CST (12AM PST/3AM EST/8AM GMT/9AM CET) to 10AM CST (8AM PST/11AM EST/4PM GMT/5PM CET) and will now occur at a later date due to issues requiring additional testing that have been discovered with the Game Update 1.1 content on the Public Test Server.
These issues were primarily brought to our attention by the diligent players on the Public Test Server Forums. Your participation in testing helps to improve the game as a whole, and we appreciate your discussion and feedback. The bug reports you provide are a valuable part of the development process. Thank you!

The maintenance window for Game Update 1.1 will be rescheduled for some time within the next few days, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Better safe then sorry. My partner and I are in charge of the QA department for our team and this sort of stuff happens all the time with our patches. Granted we aren't making patches for a multi million dollar game but there are generally last minute issues caught in testing that causes us to delay. Fortunately our release schedules are not transparent to our customers so no one cares other then marketing lol.
I'm still enjoying the game a lot so it's no biggie for me. Just hit level 40 last night and have about 110 hours clocked in on my main.
Wonderful way to sucker some people into paying into another month just to see what 1.1 is all about.

I'm pretty sure you can try it out on test server if you're truly curious.
My account isn't due until the 29th so I can try it anyway. Was just making a statement for the early access people.
Funny thing is if it is got problems and they release it tomorrow, then the people that think this way, would be saying this is the exact reason why I have canceled my sub and will not be coming back. They are damned if they do and damned if they dont. Just cant make some people happy.
Well I doubt it is for very long. I can not give Trion a pass when they do this also and not give it to Bioware. I doubt it will take all that long, but I can only guess someone found a awesome exploit.
I should really just apologize. I am just frustrated after waiting so long for this game and to reach such dissappointment. It gives me no right to mean to other people so I'll stop. Gawd, I would kill for kotor 3 instead of this.

Truth.. Now I really have no justification as to why i should sub at all..
Well besides the fact they are spending so much time on basically one part of the game, which also happens to be the part that I am least concerned with atm..
Son, I am dissapoint..
it was fun while it lasted, but for clocking in at 4 weeks more or less, it ranked right behind Aion for the quickest mmo I quit..
There is absolutely nothing to do atm, as I have never been an alt roller..
If they had an off-line mode, I would perhaps play through each class storyline, but that and only that is not worth the sub for me right now..

They postponed for one reason and one reason only. They are trying to get people to resub after the first free month. Anyone with half a brain knows that.
i have to agree with this
early access here, and even with no update im planning on going on for more game time. Im not having a blast, still undecided what dayum character to stick with ( got like 1 of each separate advanced class) LOL....
that will keep me bussy until any of these comes out: WoWMoP, TSW, Blade and Soul, WoD... (didnt count GW2 cos its f2p so can play both)
The postpone is a month too late.
I'm not resubbing after my free month, I've cleared all of the content in game it's just bad imo, I'm gonna spend my money elsewhere, as others has said, kotor 3...

Seriously why would they be that stupid?
I mean they could just have announced the content update for next week if that would have been there plan.
That wouldn't have stopped ppls like you who (using your words) only have half a brain from writing the exact same claim tho but oh well i suppose ppls missing half a brain are doomed to make such statements regardless of its true or not.
Besides the update has some nice little content updates but really nothing mayor nothing that could make someone who wants to quit change there mind and get another month of sub and if that's enough to get ppls to sub for longer i guess they don't dislike the game to begin with.
The patch has some major bug fixes as well, lets not forget that. Operations are bugged to the point of being unfun and of course Ilum world PvP is anything but that.
In my opinion it would make them more good than bad to introduce the patch in a timely manner, demonstrating how they can fix this buggy mess of a game, than to delay it and reap anticipation rewards for content of unknown quality.
Haven't their previous minor patches lead to additional troubles and patch fixes? Sounds like they just have their hands full atm. Getting people to resub for this is pretty pathetic (not enough content).

Guess I wont get to see what 1.1 is all about then, I wont be resubscribing based on the current game and wont be taking any risks wasting money just to see it. I'll play the game again when they do a veteran comeback trial. That said I'm glad the patch fixes so many issues and I'm glad they wont release a broken patch unlike SOE.
This is the third time they cancel their patch release.These guys are more than annoying.
