I know that may sound a bit odd but I've decided to play this game on a bi or tri monthly basis . Its not exactly the game I wanted and I think theres so many missed oppertunitys in this game . They should have looked at previous space combat games or even games like EvE for some inspiration as to what could be done (I'm not saying it should or could be exactly like EvE I know you lot unless its made clear to you many of you misunderstand whats ment) .If there was the chance of being ganked in space then the game wouldn't have felt so instanced . The game world is also far too static . Would patrols or more moving mobs have been too hard ?
Having said that I like RPGs and I love the mix of story and tradiional mmo gameplay . But I'm also probably in the minority of people that likes to solo while leveling and do a little grouping now and then . So in a way this type of mmo suits the way I like to play .
I see plenty here to keep me interested for several months . Unlike some people in these forums I only have interest in gaming a couple of hours or three average a day . So I'm not tearing through the content like a madman .
This isn't exactly what I want but its still a pretty decent rpg game and I'm enjoying it enough to play it now and again . i did hope it would be my new home but I guess its back to free to play ,single player games and the odd month on Rift and now this .
I think with the money that went into developing this so much more could have been and should have been done . I don't have any problem that the game play is generic but its starwars for gods sake . The space combat should have been a major feature and what we get is some 80s style scrolling space arcade shooter . Thats a huge and terrible mistake imo . What on earth were they thinking there .

Most people play a game off and on for a long time. Enjoy your schedule of play.
I think your right there . Also I think this has been designed with on and play in mind and not regular play . I'm sure the patches will have enough to keep me comeing back over the course of a couple of years or so even if its not enough to make me stay all the time .
Yeah, they will add stuff to the game as time passes anyways so a month now and then with a F2P or B2P game in between might be a good solution for some people.
Some people thinks that you must play the same MMO 24/7 until you can't stand it but that does not work for everyone and many players prefer to cycle a few games instead to get a bit different experience.
Just find what fits you best.
