Serious question, re: servers
This is a serious question as I was an avid beta tester in Rift's beta phases and thoroughly enjoyed it for the month I played it after launch...but due to extenuating (sp?) circumstances had to stop the online gaming.
Here's my current situation: I bought CE when it first came out and have just resubbed a week ago (due inpart to the cc problems of TOR lol.)
My question is, I see all over the place A LOT of high numbers for the rift game and everything and was wondering if (in all honesty) am I seeing the same amount of servers in my layout that y'all are seeing?
I have 2 mains both on the same server now, Briarcliff, US PVP. Anyhow, my client, free? or retial? Only ever shows up about 10-12 servers at a time for the USA.
Surely you can't fit all these thousands of gamers into the 10-12 USA servers? Or am I maybe on the "free version" client or the "retail version" client?

After the server merge Rift will have 16 US servers and 20 or so Euroo Servers. At its peak EQ2 had 16n total servers.
You can transfer to any server you want for free of your character is above level 15. teh highest pop servers are Wolfsbane,Seastone Faeblight and Deepwood. Faeblights population increased 43% in the last week, Wolfsbane 25%, and Seastone 32%. A lot from people leaving the closed servers but a lot mroe rejoining the game.
