    R. A. Salvatore did the graphics and Todd Mc Farlane did the writing thats how :)

    Incorrect.

R.A. Salvatore created the game universe and lore, while Todd McFarlane did the artwork.

Someone didn't get the joke. :)

For those who do not know, EA took code for the game and handed it to a third party developer to get the demo ready. 38 Studios had nothing to do with the crappy demo. I just preordered last night but the game will mostly be about tiding me over until their MMO comes out.

/sigh . I still do not understand why dev do this type of stupid thing thats going to fk them up in a long run.

38S going to lose a lot of box sales because of their outdated Demos.

Pardon my English as it is not my 1st language :)

Then EA really fk up 38 Studios and cause them to lose a lot of sales.

played tje demo didn't like the graphics or the combat style specifically they start the combo system and sometimes it misses the enemies because his movements are too linear as he's doing the combos. Sure they are fun to watch be implemented, hell they are epic but it doesn't do much good if you are doing a combo (melee) and it doesn't hit half the time, movement should be less sticky.

But what if I was joking about him not getting the joke, because I guessed his post was just a joke about not getting the joke, which was just made more funny because of your post wondering if his post was a joke, when indeed we were all joking?

Ummm... wait... I think that's right... or is it? ;P

The guy playing the release build of the game and doing IGN's Review in Progress seems to be quite impressed. and i quote...

"Indeed, there remains plenty that I still have to delve into with Reckoning. But if I can tell you one thing based solely on my brief experience with the final build of the game so far, it's that there's plenty to be excited about with Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Whether or not the final product, dozens and dozens of game hours from now, lives up to what I've seen and done so far remains to be seen, but what I've seen and done so far is impressive."

From what ive read the game does have plenty of exploration in the way of Dragon age but much bigger pockets of land where you're free to wander and find quest givers, dungeons etc. like the area outside the well of souls.

He does suggest that the story and VA is good, but then again that depends on taste and Salvatore's brand of fiction may not be everyone's cup of tea. It thankfully is mine and i remain cautiously optimistic that this game will keep me busy untill Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3 come out.

Will just have to wait and see how things are 2-3 weeks after release.

    I think I will.

They've indicated the game does get harder as you progress so that's not really too much of a concern.

It seems that this was a very rough demo and not one that really shed a good light on the game itself. However, there do seem to be some nice things such as those lore stones. Actually, those are kind of what hooked me.

The combat is smooth though I hate that if one has a shield that it doesn't appear until you block. That's got to be a bug. I hope it is.

It seem more like a slightly open version of fable. To me this isnt' a bad thing. Nto a skyrim open but maybe later the world opens up.

Quite frankly I think the game demo suffers from showing the intro/tutorial parts and for many that stuff is old hat.

My sense is that there is more to this game than has yet to be revealed. Having said that there are things I don't like such as the "?" over quset givers and some of the mob placements seem odd. For instance, there are bandits but about 20' away are some goblin things. Doesn't make sense.

Still, it's an Indy company and I vowed I'd support their first venture so "I'm game".
