Just logged on and there is a handfull of servers at FULL, about 1/3 HEAVY, and the rest STANDARD.
NOT A SINGLE SERVER IS LIGHT!
So all you haters told us to wait until the free month is up and that would be the true test of SWTOR'S success.
Well the free month is up....looks like the mmorpg.com hate team was wrong yet again.
You claimed that the population would dwindle to nothing after the free month, and that the game would be f2p by summmer.
There are actually more people playing today (on my servers at least) then there was 2 weeks ago.
Maybe now you can stop the hate, move on to over-hypeing the next game, and then pounce on it with your anger and hatred because it didn't meet the astronamical expections you came up with in your own mind.
But I know....the players are wrong, the critics are wrong, and you extremely small (yet very vocal) community of hate breeders are right and this game is epic fail.
Now go photoshop a SWTOR logo on a picture of the titanic or something equally as ludicrus if it makes you feel better.
First off, it's easy for Bioware to control what the population is considered as "Light, Standard, or Heavy". So unless you're seeing numbers it means nothing.
Secondly, just logged onto my nephews account and noticed the major hubs are ghost towns.
Third, how much of a child are you to make a thread like this?
LoL if the servers had been light you would have been saying "I told you so" because they arn't its Bioware are fiddling with the numbers . An example of how people shift the goal posts when faced with something happens they don't predict . All it really shows is you can't take being proven wrong .
I thought there would be a massive drop off . In fact I convinced we would see a huge drop off .
Unlike you I'm quite happy to admit I was wrong . Bioware have a success on thier hands and even though its not the game for me . I congratulate them .
Originally posted by NBlitz What a weird feeling. I'm seeing the same arguments used after RIFT's launch but now for TOR.
Rift is on lifesupport as well though, which is a shame because they actually seemed to really put effort into it, and at least pretend to polish simple things like AA and texture resolution/LOD.
Yep, no mass exodus. Just a bunch of 'haters' making up lies...
And while the last pages of that are a few whines about transferring off low pop servers, there is a big chunk that is just people wanting to move servers for other reasons, thread started during the beta phase when people wanted to move off high pop servers.
A lot of reasons for wanting to move off the servers, not just low pop, plenty just whinging about long PvP warzone queue times.

Bang! spot on dude. and use word hater determinate everything anyway, if you dont like somehing you dont need to hate it, you just simply dont like it. eeeeeeasy. ghost towns what i simply say aswell.
Yep, no mass exodus. Just a bunch of 'haters' making up lies...
The thread is about server queues and overload. Player want to transfer off their server because of queues and overload page after page. Player complaining they had to reroll several times because it was always too full...
You only tunnelvisioned to a selected bunch of recent complaints about transfering due to lack of population, with a handful of overdramatic kids repetively posting the same complaint several times per page, page after page and two or three ragequitter spending the rest of their time hating the game on the forums jumping on the train.
It doesnt make it more grave, when five guys posts 80 times their/the server are dead and demand free transfers/merges, because the dozen of others complain just once each about their server being too full demanding free transfers either.
Ahh, Reddit. My saviour.
Where would I be if not for thou while I wait in my queue for SWTOR.
Gdemami - Informing people about your thoughts and impressions is not a review, it's a blog.
Well I guess the fact that some people can't even find the CANCEL button on account page (and BW are advising to cancel over the phone!!), and those that can are also still able to log in a play for free even without an active account.. This may have a little to do with it.
Core i5 13600KF, BeQuiet Pure Loop FX 360, 32gb DDR5-6000 XPG, WD SN850 NVMe ,PNY 3090 XLR8, Asus Prime Z790-A, Lian-Li O11 PCMR case (limited ed 1045/2000), 32" LG Ultragear 4k Monitor, Logitech G560 LightSync Sound, Razer Deathadder V2 and Razer Blackwidow V3 Keyboard
This community has a very strong anti-mmorpg lobby, posing as enlightened individuals that will try to convince you BW are crooks and complain that the industry is is only worried about money (shock business planning to make money?). It's very easy to deride a newly released mmo, especially when you are tired of the genre.
None of the hate is rational, it rarely is to be honest. It will die down soon as it always does.
This is the most sensible post I've seen on this forum. The reality is the swtor servers are still stacked with players.
The 'hate' community is almost always wrong. Almost. Sometimes they're right. If I go outside every single day and scream about how the icy rain is going to make someone wreck their car, eventually I'll be right.
I'm not sure that the 'hate' community for SWToR is the same 'hate' community for WoW or Warhammer though. I'm sure there's some overlap, but they could each be distinct communities. It would require much more effort than I'm willing to put into it in order to test this theory though.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
Lizardbones not much different between fanboys and haters in the end.
Haters:
1. Will take any bit of information and twist it to fit their point of view
2. Believed the hype of the game even after years of knowing every game that has come out fails to meet it and gets mad
3. Completely ignores anything good about the game
4. Believes their opinion of the game is correct and drops fanboy when anyone post something positive about the game
Fanyboys:
1. Will take any bit of information and twist it to fit their point of view
2. Still believes all the hype about the game and the hype that is not in the game even though it was advertised to be will be coming soon in a "patch"
3. Completely ignores the very obvious flaws in the game
4. Believes their opinion of the game is correct and drops hater anytime someone post something negative about the game
Trolls:
Will be both to get a response from people. Hmmm what did I just do....../doh
Haters use to be fanboys, and fanboys will become haters at some point. They are the same people, extremes of both sides who drowned out any other discussion that tries to occur.
Pretty much....There was no mass exodus lol, like 95% of the playerbase stayed, people just like bitching. The servers are STILL growing in population, with the newest servers STILL going from standard to heavy, and a new very heavy server every weekend. Sooo rofl @ the trollololols

Where did you get 95% from? Oh nevermind we know.
You do realize the "server load status" means nothing about player population.
Explain why on the official SWTOR forums the "combine server threads" that get posted faster than the SWTOR forum mods can combine them or delete them.
Point is this game will see drops in playerbase like every MMO has and will.
Why the hate thread, baiting thread and why is it still up after 7 pages?I guess it shows the hypocritical moderation here.
This thread is not discussing a mmorpg it is merely pointing fingers at users.
I for one predicted 5 million users not becuase i care about numbers but someone asked for opinions ,so i joined the discussion.I also predicted it would drop to 2 then eventually 500k after one full year.
I did not make any predictions or opinions out of hate as the OP so nicely LABELLED users,i did it because our opinions were asked.I actually tried to like SWTOR i played 6 players at one time, more than probably MOST,hardly qualifies as a hater.
I saw a game that offered a short term fix to people looking for a game, but i did not see anything long term.
There might have been some people that gave an "OPINION" of mass exodus after the first month, but i doubt hey were claiming to know,it was merely an opinion.Example i thought Wow would never survive past the first year, becuase of lack of visual quality in a 3d VIDEO game world, but i was way off on my prediction.
Opinions btw cannot be WRONG,they are just opinions,so lose the HATE threrads geared towards hating on users that are only here to take part in gaming discussions.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Honestly i had forgotten that the 1st month was here. I was too busy having fun. On my server there was no noticible drop in players per world. Even the starter worlds had 70-125 people in them at prime time. I did notice there were 15 fewer people at Nar Shada, but that probably had more to do with prime time versus 10am.
I will expect some drop if they can't fix their cs department, but there are so many here who have NEVER played a mmo and are loving the star wars feel.
The 'hate' community is almost always wrong. Almost. Sometimes they're right. If I go outside every single day and scream about how the icy rain is going to make someone wreck their car, eventually I'll be right.

most of the so called "haters" of this game that don't just post troll posts like so many here make the points this guy makes in his video review http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnPxP9Xsc94
I can see how people enjoy the game(since I'm playing obviously I find a mild enjoyment) but if you can't see why people think this game isn't going to last just watch the review video representation it makes the point WAY more clear than typing paragraphs of stuff.
Except with LotRO, Aion, WAR, AoC and so forth ... but yeah, almost always wrong except, you know, never.
Thats becase the haters will hate on every game, MMORPG is full of ex SWG players and sandbox fans and a lot of them will just post negatively about every non sandbox MMO

You never see massive drop off in 2 month.
It starts 3-4 month
What a weird feeling. I'm seeing the same arguments used after RIFT's launch but now for TOR.
Page, after page, after page of SWOTR players begging to be transfered off their dead servers:

Last time I looked, the Patch 1.1 "/ragequit" thread in the SWTOR PVP forums had almost 3000 posts.
Perhaps that only represented 10% of the furious PVP'ers, so 30,000 of them actually unsubbed en-masse.
To them it certainly felt like a mass exodus, except the remaining 700,000 players didn't notice that they were gone ?
Bang! spot on dude. and use word hater determinate everything anyway, if you dont like somehing you dont need to hate it, you just simply dont like it. eeeeeeasy. ghost towns what i simply say aswell.
Just so you know, even WoW has dead servers.

The questions are:
-Are the servers still packed just as they were at launch?
-Will the population number continue to decline?
Yes very personal....wth are you talking about?
Ohhh my bad....i was reading this "Mass exodus" link and got them confused

And that's probably Bioware's target players. The ones that have never played an MMO before and just played SWTOR because of the IP.
Hence the lacking in everything to do with a proper MMO.
