the pvp is fine, learn 2 play. it is not really gear depandent compare to Aion or Lineage 2.  thanks god it never follow BF3 unlocking system, i do not want to kill 100 enemies or headshot 100 enemies just to unlock the gear. why did the author suggest that is beyond me...

WoW used to have the same issues with CC so they added deminishing returns.

I have a simple question. Why not add the 3rd faction at level 50 for anyone that wants to go there. disillusioned Jedi, Commandos sick of Rebuplic politicians, Light pointed up Sith etc. Bounty hunters and Smugglers would naturally fit. Since there is really is no more story at the cap other than the war it seems simple enough.

I understand that any expansions that involved the story arcs would need to be massaged with such a thing. Still a little clever story telling "by day imperial spy by night underworld faction control champion with the credits to prove it" Or some more clever storytelling mechainc could be employed.

In this way the story could grow but the pvp could mimic a war of various intensity with faction control a large part. The Galaxy map has plenty of room for expansion. "Discover a far rim sector" and unleash the factions to see who can control whatever planets are in it. Bounses for controling parts of the planet, whole planet, whole sector. Carrot carrot carrot not just gear  but faction pride. Were saving the Galaxy! Were conquering the Galaxy! Were making me rich! =-) A sector like this would also lead into a revamped Space game giving  bonuses to which ever faction was wining the space war to the ground war.

Just some random thoughts that I think would add much to SWTOR moving forward. I love the story and want it to contiune......Still putting the War back into Star wars would only improve the game IMO. Thoughts?

Thanks for reading, have a great day!

this game is ubertrash. i really tried to like it but it's full of bugs, gamemechanics are more like from 1999 and the developers seem to be some monkeys with downsyndrome.

middle of the year will be the first servermerge and in the beginning of 2013 they have to go f2p.

    mark my words.

Why does this feature even exist if MMORPG gave the game like a 9/10?

    lol?

Its obvious the pvp was just tacked on without much development time or thought in order  to try and appeal to pvp players with as minimal an investment as possible.

RNG gear is a complete joke

Illum is clearly one of the worst pvp zones ever created.

(for me realm vs realm conflict is the focus/the driving force to my pve progression. Its why I level up and shape my character.I'm currently of the opinion Bioware is not motivated or capable of developing this feature.I have stopped playing and am very disappointed)

In the end, there is a simple fact of life:  most of the developers didn't play games where there was a heavy emphasis on pvp/rvr.  that isn't a good or a bad thing, it just is what it is.  (They wouldn't have included the "expertise" skill if that were the case.)

The one thing about people big into pvp/rvr games, is that they are really big into pvp and rvr games.  The theorycraft debates these games have are epic for those who love that stuff.  Yet if you haven't thought these things through, you aren't going to do that well.  Most of these developers are just putting pvp on their checklist, and they approach pvp from the pve mindset.  They really are two different beasts.
