The payment system has melted people are now reporting they can't log in after paying. People are being cheated into 28 day cilling cycles not 30. they are also reporting being backcharged for time between sub cycles. Example is you unsub for 5 days then resub you will lose 5 days of sub time after paying. http://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=11

The payment system is a bit buggy.
UO players reported bugs a few months ago
Give them a few months to fix the worst bugs.
How far should tollerance to bugs go ?
I mean, when they ban people for interacting with bugged systems in game... community said ok.
Now the new bug is robbing people of money or goods that they payed (days of subscription) ...
Should this also be tollerated ?
If the company makes it right with the people who got screwed, then yes, they can be tollerated for a short time like obii said. If BW doesn't do anything to make it right or fix the bug, then no, it should not be tollerated.
I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil
Seriously?
As someone who's developed and maintained web based billing systems... the last one is a pretty rookie mistake.
Yes but you have to remember Mythic when people playing DAoC were billed over and over and over due to some issue. They ended up fixing it and I believe covering bank overdraft fees etc but still...
If gametime cards were easier for me to get, that's what I would use for any MMO I played. (this isn't just directed at TOR/EA btw.)
Took me actually calling them 3 times to get unsubbed, tried on the webpage a few times and tween missing buttons, telling me that the system was down, or unsubbing me but continuing to bill me it was a nightmare.
Upon calling them the first two times I got the outsourced call center over in India with the Rajah that doesnt speak any english, they told me they were not given access to our actual account information and I would need to cancel on the website, third call I actually got transferred back to an american ( english speaking ) CS rep and he was able to unsub me quickly.
Your profile has you in South Carolina. If you'd prefer not to allow developers with your card, and can't get to any stores nearby, there are quite a few on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dvideogames&field-keywords=Game+Time+Card%5C&x=0&y=0#/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dvideogames&field-keywords=Game+Time+Card&rh=n%3A468642%2Ck%3AGame+Time+Card
You can also try buying those Visa prepaid cards at your local Walmart, Target, etc.
...
KOTOR its the first mmo who haves a buggy trouble with payment system that's odd, its feels like they don't want costumers after all, go figure
hehe what?
How a business handles it's customer's money is fundamental.
There should be absolutely no tolerance when it comes to this...
Exactly, and particularly so for a multi-billion dollar company, in relation to a project with a ~$150 million price tag. They should be on the frigging ball with regards to such a fundamental business process as a billing system.
Worked well for me. Got my title and everything.
In Bioware we trust!
I agree.
Billing errors should be immediately resolved, the issue fixed and customers promptly compesated.
You never played UO these last years.
People had to contact community managers to be able to pay for UO or items sometimes :P
For some people EA made paying them a real challenge.
