Roleplaying.

Greatness

I see that roleplaying will be a big part in this. Will there be any pvp or anything for people that are not too much into roleplaying, but still like it?

Well if it follows what UL did, and I suspect it will, from a technical standpoint pvp would be open.

You shoot or slice a mare up, and it'll get hurt and collapse.  If you shoot and slice up a player, he or she will get hurt and collapse.  Mind you this game in combat plays like a FPS almost.  In UL ranged ammo was VERY much the premuim, at least with the good ranged weaponry, forcing a lot of vs monster combat into melee to conserve your precious items.

Now, the rule was, and this was enforced by the GM crew, you could not go beating people without a valid IC excuse, and "I'm a homocidal maniac" doesn't count.  Though some people who made a high art out of picking an IC fight through clever roleplaying.  Some of those people were good, some were bad.  At one point in my life I complained vigorously about either to the powers that be, though I regret some of that now.  I should have realized you need a heel in every story. 

Of course if you want raw unadultrated violent pleasure there was always the player mare accounts in UL, I do not know how that'll translate in reclamation, but you could actually PLAY a monster, and go on a killing spree.

Of course if you play the right roles you can find combat.  Role playing is not all about sitting around and talking, some people got to play the heel, some people get on their jihads.  The current climate in UL has houses banding together to go thrash the some other house which has invited "monsters" to lead them.  Mind you PLAYERS make up a lot of this "evil" house.  And PLAYERS make up the other houses.  It is all through RP but once negociations fell through, its time for the soldiers to do what soldiers do best.

One tried to true method is to find a properly unhinged individual and become one of his flunkies, there's certain to be voilence around the corner.

Reclamation has a real sweet feature though, the guild/house system.  UL just had the 8 houses you were either in one or not.  REclamation has the guilds, the guilds then can take a house for their own.  Lets say you are a guild, and you want a house and all of the 8 houses are taken, problem?  No problem!  You pick a fight with a house that is opposed with your beliefs, trounce'em and kick'em out.  They set up a system for WARFARE!

Of course RP is mandatory but the trick is to just play what you want to play icly.  While you cannot be a homocidal maniac, bear in mind that the city of dreams in some ways is like the wild west.  There is no major law enforcement, everyone just enforces the rules of their turf and they do it as their roleplay.  Just remember, if you roleplay someone who is such a scoundrel that he raises the ire of just about every other major faction out there, the guy will be hunted like a dog, and will be unable to resupply easily and have issues advancing.  Of course, some people like that on both sides.  It gives the scrappers in those factions something to hunt like a dog.  And it'll certainly keep you busy.
