Video about being banned in mortal online

This shows everything:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1yPDeuYFG0

Better quality:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYabzSA1lCg&feature=youtu.be

Slapshot I am using what you posted to sum it up:

GMs lost control of their big event.

Banned the OP with no explanation

OP provided FRAPS

Video showed that he had not reloaded arrows

Lead GM said that even though the FRAPS proved he was innocent of the original ban, it would stand due to the non-reload bug/exploit

OP complained that the bug/exploit can happen randomly

GM said too bad

OP cancelled sub after 2 years

Example #9029 of MO GM corruption, idiocy, etc.

I did saw the whole video and read all the chat displayed in it, and it's clear that he cheatted his own video shows that.

I'm happy to see a game that has real GM that do their job right, kudos to the MO GMs.

Main reason I read this thread is cause I have been iching to try MO and will give it a go as we speak since it has 14 days trial.

My prediction is that someone sends OP a PM from the dev team.. asking him to take down the videos and they will reinstate him with credit for time lost.

And several players also stated that the bug can happen randomly. What is mroe interesting, however, is that SV is adapting "we don't discuss bugs" policy. Considering how bad their cheat detection is and the low playerbase, I find it weird them going ignore on ban appeals.

I never played the game I'm about to try it now but I am sick of cheaters in any game there is PVP for example call of duty I see always people cheating.

Oh I certainly agree that cheaters and exploiters should be banned.  But if you think about it, the only reason the GM team knew about this player exploiting is because of his self-provided video :)

There was no detection other than the players own FRAPS.

It's an extremely poor way of dealing with customers.

Got banned? Provide proof you are innocent. You then provide proof but can incriminate yourself for another "crime".

No proof? Well you can't get unbanned.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I wouldn't expect the teens running the game to wrap their head around this.

I was extremely close to trying Mortal Online, even against all the horrible reviews for it, but now this solidifies it. Nothing worse than having horrible people running the game.

  • deathshrouddeathshroud Member Posts: 1,366

editing ini files to disable the sun and using the arrow bug exploit not to mention the resolution change but whos counting, i guess all those should slide....

Making conclusions with only one side of the argument ftw right?

  • MidnightsephMidnightseph Member Posts: 21

there are actually the 2 sides there. GMs try to explain themselves in the video. They just fail at doing it.

  • MidnightsephMidnightseph Member Posts: 21

Well, objective complete. C u all in another life.

I watched this whole vid and read all convos and I have to symphatise with SV and their GM team for having to deal with so much crap of a humankind.

Seriously. This guy probably hasn't been out in the world for the past few years. That or he's simply young. What a cry baby. Getting a 24 hour ban and going in full QQ mode, even rushing into releasing a vid showing himself cheating (or abusing a bug, same shit).

A GM encountering something that looks like cheater should always  IMMIDIATELY take measures. Obviously a loose hacker can potentialy do much much bigger damage, making many more people quit.

Any normal player should be able to realise this and patiently wait for the better of the game. And than after ban is lifted and innocence proven should he take meassures if he doesn't get reimbursed for 24 hours of playtime.

But it seems like he is just desperate for attention. And he demands it NOW. Only one GM has spoken to him! I mean ONLY one, how dare they!!

And everyone MUST realise he is innocent in the next minute vid was released! Or else..!

24 hour ban stays, due to cheating revealed provided by cheater alone (yes, making use of a bug is cheating even if a bug appears unintended). And than he quits. Now that's a hurt gamers ego right there.

Back before I was banned in MO, 2 years ago, I had a tamer character. When I would tame dire wolves and hunt with them, they would sometimes bug out and the tame would drop under the ground. Even though they were under the ground, they would still continue to fight and actually become even angrier than normal (they would aggro on EVERYTHING). This was a bug that you COULD NOT control, but it was still considered cheating by the GM team because Mortal Online is a piss poor piece of crap MMO. Yes, you'd get banned for something you could not control.

I've seen the real Santa 2 years ago. In fact we had a conversation. Sadly I don't have an evidence but I'm sure people will gladly believe anything i claim just like that.

p.s. Injustice does happen. It is not MO specific. Ever been out in the world?

  • WeretigarWeretigar Member UncommonPosts: 600

Seriously guys we watched the video the guy exploited, the ban was for 24 hours. Even if it want the glitch he abused he still abused one. For this particalur case the guy deserved the ban. I dont give two craps about anyone elses random ban without proof.

However this game is very shady to say the least. Lies about population increases that always get proved wrong, Gms and moderators always removing promises and discusions off of their forums.

The only Mod that will come here and blatantly lie to everyone and has been warned several times. I know the guys an exploiter and deserved the ban but being crazy and posting random stuff based on your feelings after we see the facts every week helps noone.

You want some proof? These bugs still exist to this day, friend. I only stated Dire Wolf because Dire Wolves were the most damaging tameable monster at the time. Go tame any monster and hunt with it for a while--It'll fall under the map sooner or later and keep attacking anything around it--even if it's non-aggro. You think I'm lying? I'll bet there are threads on the MO forum about said bug.

I'm not talking about bugs. I'm pretty sure there are bugs in MO or any other game.

Give me proof you got banned and why you got banned. But I doubt you have much, else you'd be pasting links all over already.

One moment and I'll see if I can find some old emails about when I talked to Support. It was mostly over IRC where they tried to assist me, though.

Dunno how a dev notice about your ban will proove your claim about ban being injustified tho.

But go on and waste your time if you wish so.

  • KeshanberkKeshanberk Member Posts: 81

Oh, goody. I found the proof. Check this out--support never even contacted me again on my support ticket. I'm still banned to this very day. Let me update my MO client and show you guys that I'm still banned--I'll post the pic in like 20 mins.

    As for the proof..

I dont think you being a super huge jerk to somone trying to help you had anything to do with you not getting unbanned or ever responded to again. Did you think you might wanna treat the next guy like an actual person next time something outside either of your control happens/?
