Pre-Order From Amazon and Beta test

according ot this 

We will be hosting five closed beta tests for TERA starting February 10, each lasting about 60 hours. Those who have signed up for beta have a chance to be randomly selected to participate in single events. Players who pre-order TERA will gain access to all five closed beta tests and be allowed to retain their characters and their progress for the duration of the closed beta period.

now is this ONLY for people who pre-order from there site ? or if I pre-order from amazon.com can I get into the closed beta's

    I will get a pre-oder from Amazon to get beta...and cancel if I dont like it lol

    Too risky to get it directly since they charge the full amount right away. Amazon do not charge you till its shipped.

    questions is then how do they know you pre-order through amazon to get into beta..i pre-ordered through amazon but didn't get a code or anything like that. Unless they are sending codes later on to amazon to send people...

    We suspect that amazon has not yet updated their pre-order bonus's yet. Let's give it a few days and see. Since you get access to ALL beta's I assume it'll be okay till next friday.

    Played - M59, EQOA, EQ, EQ2, PS, SWG[Favorite], DAoC, UO, RS, MXO, CoH/CoV, TR, FFXI, FoM, WoW, Eve, Rift, SWTOR, TSW.

    k .. i don't mind cancelling my amazon.com and ordering from there site if it gets me into closed beta but I'd like to know before I do cancel my amazon.com order since i'd rather just keep me amazon order.

    Amazon did not update their product page to include collector edition yet. I am guessing they will do so soon enough. Once they have done that, the bonus details and code probably will be updated as well.

    Or you could just pay $5 or £5 or whatever and gain access to the Beta. you can do this from their site.

    I must be missing it on the website. I can not seem to find the option to pay $5 for beta.

    What he means with 5 bucks deal is the 'Digital pre-order mini' which gets you the Beta key and those 5 bucks count toward the full price of the game if you choose to buy it later on.

    It is somehow interesting after two days Amazon NA still do not have CE up...I wonder what is up ?

    This feature will only be available for EU TERA.

    I thought of that as the possible reason. However, Wouldn't Amazon pull the standard version off the web if that's the case ?

    It´s a trap...

    Never preorder a game you havn´t tried, it will be easy to get the keys for the beta elsewhere, as most of us already got the keys for tomorrow.

    There is always a lot of whine threads from people who preordered to get into betas. Unless you tried the Korean version, wait until after the first beta at least.

    Elsewhere as in EU version ?

    That is one of the reason I am waiting on Amazon. I can cancel the pre-order and not get charged.

    They are supposed to be sending keys to retailers on monday according to what I've been reading on the official forums. So maybe a few days after that you will get your key emailed to you.

     

    I contacted amazon asking about beta keys yesterday and they had no idea, no retailer seems to have any idea... but tera staff says they will be working to get the collector's edition to retailers and I expect once that happens, keys will start coming too.

    That's the disconnect that confuses me. Amazon outside of US have their CE listed for days. Yet Amazon US one remains unchanged. Hopfully they will update the page today. We shall see.
