While I'm not totally flipping out over this hiccup (after all, it is the kind of problem you want to happen during limited sneak peaks like this rather than launch), I was pretty surprised when I found out that Frogster was publishing Tera. I don't know how they managed that (possibly the only publisher willing to sign a deal with convicted felons at risk on being enjoined from releasing their product, lol), but they have a lot of ground to cover if they want to hang with the big-boys that publish AAA games.
Not true at all, sometimes you can sneak in and get a look at the server selection. But then the server catches you and kicks you out!
WTF then what you say it's not true, it's not sometimes I can get to server selection everytime but servers are not live so you get same error about verification ticket which has been there for the past 2 days.

Nope sorry. Just know that they got after CBT3 their version they tweak with XLGames for Mainland Chinese martket and that they were beta-testing internally + planning closed chinese betas. No links or more info though I know of. Havent been looking though.

There were some issues with ques and logging in the first Rift beta but the servers were up most of the time and everyone got to play eventually.
So it wasn´t perfect but nowhere near this. Not sure about TOR.

I would not say Tor. Tor's closed beta was pretty bad. No dev communinication and the servers would go down for 2 weeks with no word on when they would come back upop other than soon. Trion in their beta which they called Alpha had great communication and interaction with the testers. It was stable and polsihed from day 1 and I don't recall them ever taking the server down. In most games devs look down on players and treat them like dispoable objects. But not Trion. Absolutely the friendliest and most respectful devs I have ever met. I like Rift quite a bit but even if I hated it I would probably sub just because of the way Trion treats people with respect.
OH boohoo, you can't play the sneak peek event yet. People are pathetic this day and age, wait a few hours. Go do something productive with your lives. Hell, take a nap. Come back later. The game is still going to be here, not to mention there's always tomorrow.

But Trion has shown itself to be apsolutely the most professional MMO company around.
I did not have any problems with ToR, but that was the last beta weekend. So no fair comparrison I think.
