NOOOOO damn you now I have that image too -_-

Seriously...something you just don't share!! No need to!!!

( now just wait for a photoshopped version from someone ) lol

    Well, here's one for you:

Btw, I have to leave the party now. Sorry. Coming back later.

Fifty three year old single mom here, and my son is the one who got me to try WoW back when Burning Crusade came out. He badgered me to no end until I finally gave it a shot.

At first, it scared the crap out of me. started with a dranei, and when he said I had to kill the moths, I sez, what? but they are too cute! Then I kept getting lost, and he was literally rolling with laughter at me.

I persisted, and when I got my first green gear drop, I was hooked. Look at all the goodies you can get when you whack moths and stags and wolves! PITA, go away, I am having FUN killing stuff!!

The skills satisfied any feminine urges to excel at more mundane things, because those skills helped me make my own stuff and make gold, and that hooked me even more. Gold? COOL!!!! wow, I sold something on the auction house, gotta do this again! Want more GOLD! lol!

I understand what the OP is trying to say. He just screwed up royally when he used examples like the real life chores women do. See, speaking for myself, if that was my 'role' as a woman in a game, why would I play it, when I do that already in real life? Gaming is an ESCAPE from the mundane realities of life. I'll cook in game, when it gives my toon buffs!  If you want coffee, go make your own, I'm busy earning honor points for that nifty new piece of gear, dangit!

Yes, there are a lot of females in games, not just WoW, but in every game out there. Feminist? nah, I just luvs to go see how many bears I can take out at one time!  I know lots of folks here hate WoW, but it is the game that got me into mmorpg gaming to begin with, and it will always be my first gaming love no matter what game I am playing or how screwy the devs might make it. And I am proud to be an old gal zapping the baddies with the young folks, what fun it is!

Keep yer pots and pans and gardens, and give me my staff, got to go kill sumpin! :D

Cheers! I'll try to convince my gf again to play with me. But I'm afraid she'll get too tired of my "encouragements".

That is one heck of awesome post. *high 5*

There is nothing wrong with playing WoW. As long as you are having fun, it is a good game for you. That is what game is suppose to provide. Keep zapping away...I think OP just took your pots and pans and is tending your garden now :)

lol, good luck! I honestly would suggest WoW as an opener. She can avoid pvp as she chooses, start her like my son did me, only give her more help than he did me and for heaven's sake don't laugh at her, it is one thing for a son to laugh at a mom! you'll quickly find pots and pans being flung at yer head! rofl!

If she plays long enough, something about that game does hook you. As much as folks dis on WoW, I'd about guarantee most got their first taste of mmorpg through that game. Who knows where it might lead, though, so be warned...if she DOES get hooked, you might wind up a WoW statistic, losing her to the world of warcraft and points beyond, so be careful what you wish for, hehehe!!

Whoa. Get a gf that isn't a lazy ass gamer nerd and you'll see what I mean.

    Yup...keep digging...go on...

    lol.  /failmoar OP.

Nope.  It sounds like a "Get in the kitchen, biatch, cook me a meal, then clean and garden while I do man stuff" type of game world.

My wifes Rift guild is top pve guild on their server (Akylios down), and there are nearly as many woman playing in that guild as guys, as were our EQ, EQ2, DAoC & Swtor guilds. For a few months after release we actually had more females than males.

I'm sure if your experience is primarily with all guy or mostly guy guilds you'd come to this conclusion, but it's not very accurate.

Maybe it depends on the game to an extent, but in my experience there's almost as many females playing as there are guys. Especially couples, which have been a common staple of the last few game communities I've played in.

No you're not alone, and my wife sure as hell doesn't want dress making in her games.

Heh , that's probably the dumbest thing I've ever seen as a thread on this site.

Most of the guys playing as a female character pretending to be female are already a bunch of pedophiles , do you imagine bringing in young girls into the MMO world?   Sick , a 40 year old midget turns me more on then what the OP is suggesting.

Seriously go out to bars and stuff and get laid once in a while , don't come and post garbage ideas on a MMO website.

    thats a pretty big accusation.

What evidence do you have to support that other than an outlandish claim?

Cause without somekind of quantifiable data you make yourself seem pretty ignorant in terms of stereotypification based solely on gut instinct.
