The 12 month bundle will limit the monthly fee to 8.95$ in the US and to 9.99€ in the EU.
That is quite a difference. Especially if 9.99 is not VAT included. Who knows, maybe ping would actually be good if the servers are at the right location.
Bad idea imho.
Hard to go lower than 120 ms from EU to US , simply due to distance and freqently it is more. Also for me , lag spikes in raids or big pvp are usually higher if I play over ocean.
Well in some mmorpg's it does not really matter ,but since TERA have actiony combat then ping propably will play much bigger role than in WoW-like static combat.

I was watching some people playing Korean and Japanese version. The lag seems to be ok. One mentioned only pvp has slight delay issue. Seeing US to JP or KR is not as far as US to EU...maybe EU players will get lucky
btw EnMasse what company it is ? Never heard of them before.
Also some company that have crap f2p games like Frogster?
No, they haven't published any titles before TERA, it was started for the specific purpose of publishing TERA in North America (and maybe future Bluehole Studios games?).
Glad I preordered NA version despite being European...I knew having to deal with Frogster is trouble.
If I had to use frogster to play the game I would just have to pass as you say. Thank goodness I don't as I live in the states but theres still the potentioal that I will get screwed. I guess time will tell. I'm not pre-ordering until at least several beta weekends get under their belt and it looks like things are ok.

The sneak peek event planned for this weekend unfortunately has had to be cancelled. As we currently cannot foresee when we will be able to guarantee a smooth running of the event, there is no new date as of yet. We're working closely with the TERA developers at Bluehole to fix the remaining issues.
The cancellation was not due to load problems caused by the large number of potential players. Player numbers would have given us a look into possible issues within the scope of a stress test. Due to unforeseen reasons, problems arose already during the entry into the game world.
As soon as we have new information regarding a rescheduled event planning and once all technical issues have been resolved we will inform you on our website, in the forum and via the usual social media channels.
We apologize for the cancellation of the event and assure you that we are doing our utmost to provide all players access to TERA as soon as possible. We thank all TERA fans for their patience and understanding and hope to have positive news for you very soon.

I am not happy with this weekend's fiasco but I am not cancelling my preorder!
I'll always have time to cancel my preorder right before launch.
Frogster and its people know they have to make it up somehow and that's what I'm waiting to see. How they're going to handle the weeks to come.
Hm, where did you place your order?
I bought mine from the EU website and I think it stated I got charged up front.
Just in case this game goes boom for one reason or the other, how can I cancel my pre-order?
I ordered digitally. I was thinking of contacting support for a refund. I know I wouldn't get a full refund but a small part of that would be treated as a digital pre-order mini (€4.95).
If they try and act difficult then I can always resort to demanding a refund through my credit card's company.
I'm hoping I won't have to go that far. Fingers crossed for the coming weeks -.-
I hope people's sneak peek accounts remain valid and we dont have to go through that giveaway crap another time.
With these amateurs everything is possible. I mean, they just noticed yesterday that they have to re-code their database or something because of a problem when someone is about to enter the world? Entering the world is not exactly an uncommon thing in a mmorpg and far from being seldom to happen.

I can only hope for the best myself.
Game seems pretty solid combat wise and it would be a shame if some european frog thing managed to ruin our experience.
Maybe En Masse took notice and americans won't be subject to the same ordeal as us

As a gamer that would actually make me feel bad. If the problem simply was Frogster and the US event next weekend went off just fine.
I don't wish a bad gaming experience on anyone. So IF the US event goes off fine and Frogster still can't pull it off.. it won't bode well and that's just not right.

That's fine actually. The US version costs 50$ less a year than the EU version so I know where most Europeans wanted to play from the beginning anyway... even before this mess.
Fantastic, I can't wait until the North American servers are flooded by Europeans! I love fighting people with high latency!
they had to cancel it cause i worked over the weekend. don't worry though guys I called Frogster, and let them know next weekend my schedule is open so it's ok to run the preview.

in the KR beta i was playing with 150ms ~ (and my conexion sucks >< )
anyway i expect around 100ms in the US server maybe less if we are lucky ^^

you should have posted that the "EU" sneak peak was Canceled,
so ppl will not think the NA was Canceled.
NA is going to happen the 10th! really excited!!
NA isn't a sneak peak, it's a beta. Herp Derp.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.
I am guessing Amazon.uk or Amazon.de
Well Im glad that NA get En Masse

I'm not dumb and I am talking about the title of the Post not the content of the post, in no place of the title did it specify "EU"
and for many ppl the Beta that will take place in NA is like a Sneak peak.
Herp Derp.
Not going to pre-order.
Perhaps if the next sneak peek goes good, I will pre-order. If that one also fails, I'll just skip this title and wait for GW2.
Its just a sneak peak. Its not like the beta or launch was cancelled. Better this than something actually important.
Why all the fuss? Just relax and wait for the 17th of feb.
Fantastic, I can't wait until the North American servers are flooded by Europeans! I love fighting people with high latency!
let us be a bit more patience. All the best!
