I am watching the game but I won't get excited about any game after SWTOR. I don't believe any hype of any game now before it gets released.
This is a statement I can really understand. My girlfriend was so pumped when BF3 was released and got it at launch day but couldn't get it installed. Then a few days later when she got it installed she couldn't change the hotkeys the way she is used to. She ended up waiting some weeks before the game was patched so she could play it.
Personally I started playing AoC two-three months after launch and didn't get all the complaining people had done, because most of it was fixed at that time. The most disruptive experience I had while playing was guilds collapsing. (The game did still crash after zoning 7-10 times, but I often played in the same zone for several hours so more annoying than gamebreaking. It was fixed about three months after I started playing.)
I have played the TSW beta for some hours and I think giving it a couple of weeks after launch should be plenty of time for hotfixes to be applied. TSW was completely stable for me in beta unlike AoC 3 months after launch. They have put more effort into quality this time around.

I've read hints of "this is going to be good" or "you're gonna be surprised in a positive way" type of posts from people who suggest in a vague manner that they have or are playing the beta, so while I havent really been watching TSW or been that very hyped about it... I definitely do want to try it once its out.
In the begining I followed it for a while, but then I realised that it is just another Themepark with Voiced Quest much like SW:TOR and with a simili skill system instead of levels, but the scope of the game is that of a Themepark.
I am looking forward for two games as it stands, GW2 and Arche Age.
In the mean time I am mainly having fun a couple of hours a day playing WoT untill either of the above titles come out.
errrrr... GUILD WARS 2 IS A THEMEPARK
Yub, probably just as heavy theme parked, as SWTOR. Can't wait for Guild wars 2!
I believe little of what developers say pre-release... so, I assume...
* it will have significant performance issues and/or be heavily instanced.
* vast majority of gameplay will be exact stuff we've all done for 10+ years... with VO... which many have seen (though nice to have) isn't really doing the trick. We want our worlds to live, not just stare at cutscenes...
I will give them credit for trying a non-fantasy/anime theme AND for making 3 factions - though I think we're still just talking about arena-style battles, right?

The Warzones is supposed to have 100v100v100 fights not more. I guess they are going to have about that number of people in each instance as well, and multiple instances if there are more people.
Warzones are not fixed sizes, they are not big battlegrounds, they also agent timed matches like lake wintergrasp, they are persistent pvp areas of the world with objectives to fight over to hold territory
Also the warzones are not instanced, if they are full (for performance reasons) you have to either wait for someone to cone out or walk to another warzone
I have mixed feeling about this game. Was more excited before, but every time I see tons of monster killing and nothing from the promissed "mistery and secrecy", my interest drop.
The cash shop, also turned a big red light on, still we dont know if it will be more cosmetic oriented or p2w, its to early to dismiss the game cus of that.
A few months ago when I discovered this game, I was all excited with everything on their menu. I would be willing to give Funcom another chance.
BUT since ALL DEVELOPERS ARE OUT OF TOUCH WHAT PLAYERS ARE LOOKING FOR as of late, with games on rails, cash shops, heavy instanced and Dungeon finders to make them lobby games, And for me Voice acting kills the grouping aspect. And in this case with the secret world not enough is explained by the devs about the above. I'll try for an open bata slot or wait for a few weeks after release.

I've seen promising things about it, but like the poster above me, I'm wary about most games ... except GW2.
I don't understand how anyone could ever have been excited about swtor
because kotor 1 was a great RPG

Definately, im gonna log in on day one. let this game faceplant and watch it bloom into something amazing.
Because i can.
I'm Hopeful For Every Game, Until the Fan Boys Attack My Games. Then the Knives Come Out.
Logic every gamers worst enemy.
Same with me. Won't spend a dime on this game, their greed turned me off.

Hope for more info down the road.
I have to agree with Mazut above,

Like a lot of mmo's they sound good on paper.
It's better not getting too excited about upcoming releases, you usually end up being very dissapoint !
I'll surely play TSW, the setting alone is reason enough to give it a go imo, but I'm not holding my breath.
