Stable MMO with endgame content and active playerbase
I have been searching for years for an mmo that has a large playerbase (don't need anything too huge, just enough to actually be able to enjoy all the content without lfg for 5 hours), a stable community, I don't want to play one of the games that pops up huge then dies within 6 months, its a waste of my time. I just really miss the old EQ/EQII/WoW, Shouldhave just stayed in EQ I know but I moved on to WoW which ruined all mmos. I've recently been checking lots of mmos out. Only thing is I have conflicting reports of every mmo, some posts say the game is huge and bustling, while others say its dead and barren. Which kills my hopes of starting it because I don't want to have to pay to see that I am the only one online. Anyways, if you guys have any suggestions or want to game search/hop with me and my wife for a while we would be game. I am open to any game (preferably fantasy elves and whatnot) just looking for a good enough playerbase to be able to enjoy the content, maybe even just sit around in a town and chat with the population in lfg/trade/region. Endgame content is an oxymoron. Are you looking for WoW-style raiding? If you want an MMORPG with an endgame that is actually good, it does not and cannot exist.
Rift is pretty amazing. By far my favorite MMo in terms of that end game style gameplay. Planar Attunement (think EQ AA in some sense) while providing a raiding atmosphere that is quite enjoyable.
I am just looking for something that I can play and enjoy for years. Like Aion, I played it forever but the game slowly just diminished, it didn't have much raid content like wow but it was very epic pvp action. Very "rewarding" for me. But without the huge playerbase Aion end game is virtually non existant now
WoW-Style raiding is fine. Again, just any game that you can enjoy and progress through content.
Rift is a blast and they crank out content super fast and not at the expsense of dumming the game down at all.
I have thought a lot about rift, I tried it at launch and honestly hated it. There seemed to be nothing but from what I've heard it has become so rich in content now. My only problem, everytime I login (free trial) nobody is online o.O I know I'm just low lvl at the moment but I don't want to start throwing out cash at a game to find out nobody plays once they hit max lvl. Sorry if my point is kinda vague, I suck at wording.
