I mean, all the videos I have seen showing females having them wearing a thong. Is this true throughout the game?
I have nothing against it, but to have them wear thongs and guys have to wear full plate to get the same protection... seems a bit unfair.
How do the chicks who play the game feel about this?
Plus, I have no doubts 99% of the females characters are guys who just like to watch their characters run and jump...
I don't know about most other females, but most of the ones I know either play the most scantily clad Drow possible or play some tanked out Vin Diesel looking steel-clad monstrosity when playing an armor wearing class.
Pretty much this. In SWTOR my girlfriend has equiped both herself and her padawan companion in the slave girl outfit. She even joked that most people will probably assume she's a dude because of that.
I'm sure she will gravitate towards playing a Castanic.
The boobie bark the high elf female archers get is serious hard core protection.. only problem is it rubs you a little raw , and you your left boob tends to pop out when you do your jump back.

Little OT, but with every race having different armor, how much variation is there, per character? Is there still a decent variety of armor, as you level up, or did they spread all their armor assets between races, instead?
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.

Well, to be honest I've noticed a lot of reskins so far. This is most apparant with the weapons, all weapons for your class seem to use the exact same model.
I also noticed that equipping new boots or gloves rarely changes your appearance.
As nice as I like playing a female character, when it comes to plate its more bad ass being armored out to me then being skimpy dressed. Might just be me, but I don't think its appealing at all to have the armor thats suppose to protect looking just so... bare.

inaccurate actually there are vendors in game that can reskin pretty much everything to individual customizations. The only problem is everything in the game costs a zillion gold and money comes so slow...
I personally rolled a human female after loading in on the horned race first, - but when that one ran I started giggling, it was so silly. Her ass cheeks out. I could NOT play that toon and watch that everytime she moves.
So i rolled a human female. Their run is a little less ass-in-your-face silly, but everytime I get to a new outpost or village, I chortle at the female npc's who frankly just look so silly in their sensual battlegear. It is so over-the-top.
Anyway, I might roll a male elf in OBT since they look like girls anyway cept for the boobies, and they are more covered.
This comming from a girl, who, tbh, just found the whole thing pretty effing funny. I do however need to not be chortling at my toon everytime she swings a sword, so I must have a character that doesnt look ridiculous all of the time. And honestly I cant even imagine anyone rolling the castanic or elf females unless they are 1 ) male or 2) young females who actually want to feel like the toon are some kind of attention magnet.
Yes yes I know; This is very much me judging you, playing those toons. I have all sorts of ideas of just how dumb you guys, and gals are, thinking your toons are the epitome of sexual badassery. I want none of you looking at my toon thinking about her plastic boobs being way hawt! The very idea that I somehow am a little like you, as in part of the shared genepool makes me feel bad. Cringe bad, like I would prefer to be a green martian, than one of you. - In other words any normal person who just wants a cool looking toon shooting lazers out of its eyes and killing stuff, would find most of the females including their armor hilarious and the polar opposite of badass, and any weird person out there - like me - will just pass judgement over you guys as you run past on your half nakkid toons arses out, boobs swinging. And finding you all the polar opposite of hawt!
