Today's EU test in 30 min
Infrastructure stress test tonight
Today we’ll run a special stress test with just one server. The server “Velika” will be opened at 20:00 / 8 pm CET/GMT+1 and feature an increased player cap for this test.
All characters will be wiped before and after this test in order to ensure a correct test from login, entering the game world and a massive amount of players entering one world at the same place in a very small timeframe.
Please be aware that this test is only happening to stress test our systems. Therefore you might experience lag or other issues during this period. This test is not intended to offer you a normal game play experience. Therefore we ask you to only participate if you agree with the above mentioned points.
Depending on the test results, the test might only last for a very short timeframe. The test will end at the latest at 22:00 / 10 pm CET/GMT +1 today.
We would appreciate if you could spare some time and enter our server for this stress test this evening. Everyone who redeemed a valid key (sneak peek, pre-order) will be able to enter our server for this test.

Holy crap they weren't kidding about the lag. Totally unplayable. It took a full three seconds for my character to react to my mashing of the attack button. One of those tree dudes hit me when I was like 10 meters away.
Oh well.

I played En Masse version and it wasnt bad in terms of lag. I played two hours last night and it was fine gameplay wise
Its a load test, it was kinda expected to get laggy.
Worse case you can just play on US servers. 3 of my friends from UK and Italy were on US servers and they said they did not notice any lag. The ping seems to be fine. They pre-ordered the En Masse version today.
Well at least the server hasn't blown up like last time so thats good news. Kinda smart of them to try to simulate the conditions that cause the failure the last time.

Logged in, made a char and walked around a bit on the starter island. Couldn't really get any feel for the game with the lag, but then it was a stress test.
There is something i don't like about the graphics and overall appeal, i can't nail it down yet.
I played the US version last night. Graphic isnt too bad. I didn't feel the hook after two hours though. I plan on going through all 5 US CBT and test out different classes and see if I can find one that I want to play.
I'm thinking chat is lagging the server more then anything else lol, should have been dissabled, angwy teens all over the place...

The chat kicked me out. It reminded me of Guild Wars 1 at release. Since it was a free looky, this might get better at release of course.
I played until the magnificent level 3 with Mystic and Slayer. So far it was more interesting solo-wise with the Slayer. It was a good feel with a heavy two-handed sword. WAR did this good too, with the sword dancer, where you can see the heavy weapon because of animation.
Using a gamepad the Slayer played better (even with all the lag) than the Mystic, because the Mystic´s default ranged spell shoots forward into the field, no matter where the character looks, while the Slayer slices where he actually looks.
This was at level 3, so many things can change.
Closed off General and Trade, ran around, chatted with some nice people in private and killed stuff.
38 channels on High for 1 zone on the one server. I wonder how many fit into 1 channel.
Ridiculous amount of people online. The lag stopped about an hour in after the GM's said "alt+f4 helps reduce lag" a few times lmao.
I already played warrior to 22 the other day so I tried sorcerer, I like it quite a bit. Warrior will still be my main though, they are pretty awesome.
Also, people should try to force AAx8 to make it look better.
I remember another mmo had a lag issue real bad soon as they put the chat channels on their own server all the lag went away.
I hope they give it a try.
Anyway just managed to complete the last quest on starter island right as the server came down.

It has a very AION-ish feel, PVP is fun, combat is fun and probably the only feature that seperates it from being just another generic asian MMO.
Ok OK, the boob physics is another prehaps heh.
I hope devs put something interesting end-game-PVP wise before launch.

Yesterday in Velika my FPS was atrocious.
What was your FPS like in Velika with everybody around and your gfx turned to max?
I was amazed at how well my PC handled the game on max, 30fps everywhere but the capital, far better than RIft or SWTOR, my guess is that my graphics card likes established engines, like Cry and Unreal. I was half convinced I would need an upgrade.
That area chat is horrendous though, hard to believe there are so many sad wankers in the world.
Speaking of boobs, I thought elf boobs were a bit ummmm.... interesting, until I made a human sorcerer and started jumping up and down.. holy cow Im jealous.

LOL you should have turned it all off I immediately killed all chat channels and had almost no lag, pulled away from almost everyone. Actually completed all the quests on starter island.
The chat during that test was enough to destroy my faith in humanity. What a bunch of losers!
Many of the trolls are on competition payroll no doubt and all Betas are similar, spaming nonsense dies down at launch day usually.
