The Matrix Online Launches March 22, 2005 in the US and April 8, 2005 in Europe.

The highly anticipated continuation to the Matrix film trilogy, The Matrix Online will begin unveiling a story full of twists and action when the game is released in March in US and April in Europe. The massively multi-player online game co-published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and SEGA has been in beta testing for months and features many of the original talent from the films - Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus), Monica Bellucci (Persephone), Mary Alice (The Oracle), Lambert Wilson (The Merovingian), Harold Perrineau Jr. (Link), Harry Lennix (Lock), Nona Gaye (Zee), Collin Chou (Seraph) and Tanveer Atwal (Sati).

As the depths of the The Matrix Online have yet to be revealed, the first look into the political factions within the game will be uncovered through nine exclusive game trailers supporting each of the organizations - Zion, the Machines and the Exiles. The trailers will cross reference each other and will culminate with an in-theater trailer very soon. Keep an eye out for trailers supporting the faction you want to join. Three of the trailers launch today (2/14) and will be linked from www.thematrixonline.com.

I think it is obvious someone over at WB is getting the itch to release the sucker.  The PR machine churned up a notch last month and you can't just let that stuff go unwarranted.  The momentum will build until March when it crashes.  I think the game eneds two more large patches minimum.  To me, the devs don't seem very focused o nthe most important issues.  And they keep changing the same things over and over again, they're never going to find a stable system like that.

Really depends Crabby, bugfixes and whatnot can be done rapidly when they go into crunch mode, so its likely they MIGHT be able to debug it by March 22 launch. But its still iffy, its near launchable but I still think too soon. It depends on how the next balance passes and bugfixes turn out, couldn't really say yet. I'd still play it now but a few of the systems aren't fully fleshed out and/or realized yet. Data Node Tapping (Which a little bird tells me will be fixed :P) and Crafting seems to just be coming out into its own, think it needs more time.

Honestly it might launch fine but they'll need to spend dev time fleshing it out which isn't good. Hope they can flesh it out as best they can before the 22nd.

It should be thrown with great force"

Hmm...I was hoping to have my system upgraded before the official launch. That's going to be a pretty iffy venture now.

Ah well, if March 22nd is release, I might not jump in RIGHT AWAY, but maybe a month or two afterward. With the graphics card I have now (geforce fx 5200), the game looks good, but not great. When I jump onto retail, I want the game to look as good as it can be (I'm picky like that =)).

Then again, I might just get it anyway. Don't want to miss out on that storyline content ::::20::
