CB1 is off to a shaky start.

Black screen, when server list finally appears, click and crash to desktop.

Anyone in? Anyone having problems too?

Now in. It seems if you just wait with out selecting a server, it will direct you to one. Let's see if character creation works.

No, was hoping to be in but I'm only 2/3's through the patch.  Guess I won't be playing until after work this evening :-(

I got in and tried one character, which I didn't like. Logged out, made new character, (the game will let you go through the entire process), only to then be told that I can only have one character.

Log out to server select. One server is recommended and low population, but if I try to select it, crash to desk top. (I guess that's why it's low population).

Now, trying to log back into the other server, queue times now, of course. Hoping I can delete the first character with out fuss or muss and make a second one.

I'm thinking it was good I grabbed a key from Fileplanet for CB1, hoping that keys for retailers will be working in time for CB2. If I had pre-purchased the game from En Masse to get into beta, I'd be kicking myself right now.

First class was a Mystic. Why casting times on simple attack skills in an "action combat" title? Why do I have to stop to cast an "instant" spell? First impressions of combat? (Very, very first impressions), not so good. Also not liking the inability to change key bindings, nor the akward controls in general. I'll try an XBox 360 controller later and see if things are smoother that way.

BTW, queue time estimates are useless. Mine has said "6 minutes" for the last 10 minutes and I think my place in line went from 1730 to 1502 in that time.

Did they remove the feature? Both the korean and EU clients allowed for custom key binding when I played.

Hmm that sucks man I havent had any problems yet.  There are a SHIT ton of people playing right now so the zones are kinda packed.  Thankfully I found they have a channel switch system which helps a lot.

    You can change keybindings

It's under... shortcuts once you get in game

Looks like if you apply a multiplier of about 15 to your estimated queue time, that will put you in the ballpark, just a heads up.

Thanks. Silly me looked under "key bindings", which is just a static keyboard map of the bindings.

Yup, npnp. Took me a while to realize that as well.

    From the official twitter:

Regarding adding more servers, we have others to add but we want to investigate the Dragonfall crash before bringing more servers up.

This IS CB1, so stress testing the servers is to be expected. Hopefully they will have the data they need soon and will figure out what made Dragonfall fall down and go boom, so that the rest of the weekend will go more smoothly.

Minus the loooong queue to get in, about 45minutes earlier, I had a blast on my Mystic.  Game feels better combat wise than SWTOR, that's for sure.  Lack of various starting areas kinda sucks, but there are a TON of quests to get through on that first island.  I personally like the controls and it felt fine to me.  Played Mystic.  Just wish I could be more mobile when casting, but I think they play differently than melee.  Plus I just got a teleport spell that helps me blink around if I need to get distance.

Graphics and music are great, and the UI and other gameplay aspects have a nice style to them.  The game reminds me of Lineage 2 but better and Aion, but better.  Actually, I kept thinking "This, is what Aion should have felt/played like" as I was running around questing.  Hope the game gets more depth as I go though as the starting levels are reminiscent of a lot of F2P korean grinders, and those don't have monthly subs.  It's at least interesting enough to play through the first month or 2 come May, that's for sure.  Worth the box cost in other words.

Arachnaea server is down. So, of the two servers we started the day with, one went down in the opening minutes and stayed down. The other lasted a few hours and now is down as well. Only the "contingency" server is still up.

Yep, this is what a first CB looks like. :)

Enjoying an Archer more than the Mystic, but it looks like most instant skills require you to stop moving. As a result, combat doesn't really feel as dynamic as it should. So far, it's just "hold down your left mouse button spammable skill until the mob dies, or you have to move around a little. When possible, sneak in some other skill for variety". That wouldn't be so bad if you could move when using your primary, spammable skill. In fact, even if that was the only skill you could use while moving, it would help, a lot.
