I ask this because in AIon back when I played if someone was even 2-3 levels above you, you had like no chance even if you were the same class using the exact same nopc bought gear due to the higher lv getting massive damage and defense bonuses. Any game that has this stuff is not a real pvp game.
I am also worried about the general gameplay tbh from videos I have seen, the combat looks pretty much like wow, just that you gotta keep your cursor on the enemy till u hit a skill, then its auto tracking or something, at least thats how it looks to me. Wish I could try it.
Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either:
A. Proven right (if something bad happens)
or
B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens)
Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime!

For the most part, surely.
~From what I heard, though, speedy classes are just about the only option for most PvP scenarios... but I haven't heard anyone complain about the wide arc and AoE of the slow classes yet, so I assume it works fine in that department.

In Aion I beat players all the time that were 5+ higher levels than me so I'm not sure about the Aion example. But yes, TERA has levels and higher level players will have better stats.
Combat in Tera isn't anything like wow. You don't simply tab target. You have to aim your skils and they can be dodged.
I don't know what EME's PVP plans are, they are very quite about it. But on the Korean Servers, players who are lower lvl than the attacker will get a super buff. So attacking lower lvl players is hard.
One of the reasons why wold PVP in Korea, became quite. Gankers couldn't kill low lvl players very well..lol
More aggravatingly, another player can push something away at nearly the very same time as you fire lol. Nothling like charging an attack and releasing just as a knockback hits the mob
Loved the game though.

Lol I think I know what you mean, in a similar instance I have this backflip kick thing, and I always try to use it when the mob is about to jump back or rear up(this is for Nagas). Makes me feel like im pushing off the mob and sending it back lol.
OK, most irritating thing about archer is the relatively short range, which you reminded me of. I mean you want a decent range from your target so you can smash it/kite it before it hits you and you'll right click to dart away and suddenly you're out of the mob's range lol
I'd love a non-combat range and a combat range. So that you had to be within x to hit something to trigger combat but within y to keep target on it.
