Hi everyone, I came across this video on youtube that someone put together, it's most of the cutscenes from the GW Prophecies storyline put in order.
I did play through prophecies and I have to say the storyline and the missions were just plain epic and I found myself asking many times... is this really an MMO? I was just always used to getting this high type of story quality from console games and not MMOs.

This is a much older game and I can only imagine what Arenanet has in store for us with GW2 and the personal storyline!

Well, technically neither Anet nor the general public considers GW1 to be an MMO. Exactly because it wasn't an MMO it could focus on telling a story via instances. GW2 on the other hand will be an actual MMO, however it´s personal story will mostly take place in instances so I guess it's not really a problem.
That was a quite piece of nostalgia, thanks for that! Long time since I've seen pre-searing and little Gwen ... and the storyline was great, the cutscenes were very immersive, you really felt part of it. The ascencion had a really epic feel to it, I remember a lot of people that were really very excited after they finally succeeded. And Thunderhead Keep, it was really a bottleneck for a lot of newer players before they made the missions easier.
I sincerely hope GW2 will have the same feeling to it!
