Err no.. people who play small charactors are not hardcore in fact they are carebear because they are taking the easy way out, wanna be hardcore then roll the huge race.

surely if your hardcore you would pick the hard race to play?

That must be the most flawed reasoning i have seen so far, why would you be more hard core if you play a lesser race for your purposes? As hardcore pvper would translate to something like diehard loyality to pvp you would want the best chances rather than hurting your chances to optimize your character. You would look for a cookiecutter setup and not the opposit because then why would you not go try to play your healer as a damage dealer because its harder as well?

We need to clear up this misconception that hardcore pvp'ers will choose elin and/or popori because it will give them an advantage.

If you were to take two characters of the same class but different race (lets say a Amani and elin slayer) and have all other aspects of the two players equal (they both have perfect accuracy/timing and over all skill level (ceteris paribus conditions)) the Amani would win everytime because he has greater range.  Im not saying that the elins/poporis dont have thier advantages, i am saying that they do not have an absolute advantage in terms of pvp'ing.   The greatest advantage being they are slightly more difficult to see/target in a crowd or in an area with foliage.  That also means its harder for healers to find them as well.

Lets face it though, after playing many duels and deathmatches during the CBT1......the elins and poporis are not that difficult to hit versus other races.  The fact that the hit box size is greater than the avatar size actually gives some room for error.  Whereas the smaller hitbox on the Aman and Baraka races decreases your room for error.
