A lot of people commenting on the video claim or hope that the video is fake, and that the armour sets look nothing like it. What do you guys think?

I didn't see Optimus Prime, what am I missing here? Other than some rather ugly armor.

I find it strange these armours even got made considering how absolutely no one seems to like them. You'd think that got spotted after the first armour set, making them go a different direction. Yet they just continued churning out horrible armour designs en masse.
I liked most of them.
They must cater to me and me alone then!

It's just that practically everyone seems to hate them... except for some reason people posting here at mmorpg.com. It's odd because everywhere else no one likes them, but I suppose you're entitled your opinion. But just look at the comments on the youtube video as an example. Personally I just feel the style is too different from the rest of the game, and too closely resembles World of WarCraft than Diablo. For example I think you should still be able to see that a barbarian is a barbarian at high levels. Powerful-looking, sure, but perhaps fur and other primitive elements so he still looks barbaric. He shouldn't completely change style into a shiny chrome robotesque knight. The game's website has some pretty cool concept art for armour that looks really cool and powerful while still keeping the class history in mind.

lol I didn't even know what it looked like till I saw a youtube video outlining the high end designs. I thought it was a joke at first, like they took some pictures from WoW Tier sets and put them in there. That's exactly what the armor looks like, it's just silly. Armor in the Diablo universe should never be bright and colorful.
While I have no intention of playing D3, imo the armor doesn't look all that horrible- certainly better than TOR's and at least they put some kind of effort into it unlike Trion with RIFT.
