Hi-Rez Studios Authentication and Update Service.
True story.
It would cut off my internet when trying to connect to any SOE or portal based online game. Very hard to disable. Running in the background under services even though it's game and console (tribes:ascend) were uninstalled. Attempting to turn it off under task manager would affect connectivity.
Finally had to enter safe mode to disable and uninstall it...a serious waste of a good evening of game-time!
